Chewable versus non-chewable vitamins?

Hi all. I had my RNY in California almost 4 years ago and have since moved to Canada.  I am maintaining my weight. YAY for me as I fight with it constantly. I can't eat much at once but I can eat often and that is what makes my weight maintenance difficult. Oh well, I would do the surgery all over again EVERY month if I had to to not be morbidly obese! My question today is that I am hearing and reading online that patients do not have to take chewable vitamins forever. Is this accurate? Can I switch to non-chewable vitamins now? I always know I can rely on this forum for good info~ I once asked for advice on anti-diarrhea meds while on holiday in Spain and someone answered me right away! Great group on here.

I was told by two doctors that it is possible to crush a regular multivitamin 2 weeks after the surgery, so my guess would be that would be okay later in post op as well. I also double check with hte manufacturer of the vitamin to make sure it is still absorbed ok.
