Non-Designer Consignment Shoppe??

I live here in the OC - and I am trying to find a consignment shoppe to sell some of the clothes I have only briefly worn.  They are in no way designer clothes, but some are damned near brand new.  I googled consignment shops, only to find designer only ones.  I have only lived in the OC a year - so if anyone else knows of a normal consignment shop, I'd appreciate it.
I have donated my clothes in the past, but I have also gone through quite a bit of cash this summer - and I am still in need of new clothes as I continue to lose weight.  A little selfish, but a girl needs CLOTHES!  lol.

If you know of any, please post.  Thanks!

You can always try to list them on ebay.  Perhaps you can swap with a WLS support group. I'm 8 months out and have just bought my 4th pair of jeans (a 12!!). I'm still wearing the 16s but not the others. I only buy stuff on sale for now.  Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.  Ebay and the shipping costs are not seller-friendly.  I am in size 8s now - and down to one pair of jeans.  lol.  Still wearing some of my 11/12s just so I have something to wear.  But have a ton of business clothes in 12s that I got a steal on.  lol.  My WLS support group doesn't swap - and I am the smallest one that seems to attend :(
I am thinking selling them on craigslist - but I don't like strangers coming to my house.  lol.

You could donate them to places that take business type clothing for people trying to re-enter the job market and use the donation as a tax deduction. Or donate to Goodwill and use that for a tax write-off.

I have donated a lot of my starting size clothes - to other surgery patients at another support group.  And to goodwill.  But honestly - I need the money to buy new clothes for myself.  As a student and mother - I am broke and spend money mostly on making sure my kids have clothes.  lol.  So while I would like to donate - I need the cash :P  hehe

I took a lot of things to a consignment shop and really didn't make that much money, but I understand the need to get something for them. I went through the same thing and it was agonizing to receive so little for them. I know a lot of people get clothes at consignment and thrift stores on their way down to goal and are able to find some good quality clothes at a bargain price. Now, I have trouble finding things small enough, believe it or not.

Congratulations on getting smaller. It is a great feeling.

I too am havng the same probem needing o sell my bigger sizes to make money for smaller sizes. I would love to see what you have for sale. I live in Mission Viejo and getting ready to start a new job Oct 1st. Please let meknow if you are still selling them.

Thank you,

Also, do yu go to a support group in Orange County? I am looking for a new one since there is guys at the one I go to that really interferes with everything that is said, and most comments he mades are negative. So I am looking for a different one to attend. Please let me know.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

 Hi Gina!

I have a lot of nice size 12 work clothes.  Some are 12 petite - but some are just 12.   You are welcome to come and look at what I have this weekend - I'll text you :)

As for group, I go to the UCI support group, it meets once a month.  I have only been once, but it does meet this coming Tuesday.  I can't give a real assessment of the group after only one meeting.  I think I rubbed some of the people the wrong way :(.  Something.

Anyhow - there are a bunch of us getting together from OH.  We are having a Halloween party!  Here's the info on the group we made, feel free to join!

I will text you later today about the clothes.
