Most of us don't live in a vacuum, so there must be a place for taking care of your family, but you
are important, too. Do what you must to ensure your family is well-cared for, and then do take
the time to make sure you are healthy.
You deserve to be as well as you can be. When you are healthy, you can take better care of your
family.
Actually, it might not be a bad plan to take the munchkins with you; they need to destress as
much as you do, and they love to spend time with their Mom. Enjoy them while you've got them;
they might not want to hang around with you in a few years.

Taking care of yourself is essential if you want to be there for your family. I can preach it.. but I too feel guilty when I choose to concentrate on me. One year after my surgery and I still have a hard time not feeling guilty for not cooking for my family, when I get something done for me, and when I just need to have me time. BUT it is important!! It helps me to remind myself that by taking care of me, I will have more time to take care of them! Best of Luck... keep it up!
I am here to tell you as a mom who works & has a stay at home husband the guilt can be overwhelming!!!!!. You just have to know what you are doing is for you to get healthy and stay healthy for you and your family.
Now that being said...... Here is what I do .... I also like to get my good walk in with out my kids. So I work out hard for an hour with out my kids. I either get out and go for a walk or get on my treadmill. I then come back we all eat then I go on another walk/bike ride with my kids. That way you are getting in your "me" time, you are also spending quality time with your kids and most importantly instilling a healthy life style. My goal and feeling is I want to brake the cycle of previous generations of being over weight with my boys. I hope and prey they don't have to battle their weight like I have had to my whole life. One way I do this is to promote a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise for my boys.
I wish you well and good luck with your journey. You sound very determined and I have no doubt you will hit your goal by Thanksgiving.
