protein bars!!
I try not to eat protein bars a lot, but I do always keep one in my purse & at my desk just in case.
The ones that I like are the Power Crunch - it's about 200 cal, 5g sugar, 13g protein,10g carb & the other one I like is the Think Thin bar it is 240 cal, 0 sugar, 20g protein, 24g carb. & 8g fat
You can get them both at trader joe's.

Woah, Clif Builder bars have 20 g of sugar in them! I don't dump but they do put me in a carb coma if I have one as an afternoon snack.

Hi,
I have tried the premier nutrition ones from Costco. They have about 270 or 280 calories (depending on which of the 3 flavors you have), BUT they have 30 grams of PROTEIN! And they taste pretty good! Also, I would recommend the Premier Nutrition chocolate "shake" drinks that come in 11 oz boxes -- also at Costco. They have less calories AND they also have 30 GRAMS of PROTEIN and they taste very good cold (not quite like a real chocolate shake, but what can you do?).
I buy them both and am very happy with them. They both taste better than any other "30 grams of protein" that I have had (not sure how much meat/fish you would have to eat to get 30 gms of protein.
I think they are a pretty good deal. The drinks have much less carbs than the bars, but the bars still have less grams of carbs than the number of grams of protein they have. If you eat half a bar, you will be getting 15 grams of protein and 13 grams of carbs.
Just my 2 cents,
Ruth in San Francisco

My latest favs are Quest bars. They don't have that fake chocolate-y coating more dense... 10 seconds in the microwave and they takes like fresh baked yummy bars. They hold up well in my purse too when traveling cause they don't have that melty chocolate.
Old post I did about them with a pic: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2011/07/quest-new-flavors-giveaway.html
Others I like are Oh Yeah Protein Wafers... more like a protein Little Debbie Nutty Bar if you recall those.
