Newbie From Inland Empire

Hello. I go to Kaiser in Fontana and just started the Options classes. Anyone else from my area? I would appreciate any advice and would like to find a local support group to attend.

Just wanted to welcome you and congratulate you on starting your classes.  There are some wonderful folks from the Inland Empire who I know hold coffee get-togethers every once in a while.

My surgeon offers support groups in Redlands, Murietta, Corona, and Hesperia. Possibly future meetings in Rancho Cucamonga. Any preop or postop are welcome, regardless of chosen surgeon.  These are weeknight meetings, starting at 7PM.  You'll find a lot of information at these meetings on a wide variety of topics that affect the post op.  Some band patients, some sleeve patients, and mostly RNY patients. But it's all valuable info.  suhbariatric.com has a lists of meeting nights and locations of these support meetings. DAVE

I have finished the Kaiser options classes and am now waiting for my surgical date (sometime in Sept). Live in High Desert area, and attend support classes there. This site has excellent info and Kaiser is wonderful with their help. Good Luck!

Hi.....I am also in the Options classes at Fontana, and will graduate in Aug.  I have been really happy with the classes and have learned a lot!  Welcome and best of luck with your journey!
