Good Evening Cali Friends,

Better late than never I guess.  Our grandson spent the night last night so all of the morning was spent busy being Grandma!

We woke up and had to watch some cartoons.  The Grandma had to make Cameron's requested "Mickey Mouse" pancakes.  Then it was off to the park at about 9 am for the three of us which was a good hike in an of itself.  We got there and played t-ball, catch, frisbee and of course play on the slide and play structure.  We  got back home about ll:30 a.m., just in t

Sounds like you had a great day with your grandson!

I had a relaxing day, hung out with some friends for a couple hours. Watched some movies at home.

I was supposed to start solid food today, but it didn't go very well. I wanted to try some beef, and I bought these small beef patty  things (93% lean ground beef) to cook, but they had some weird stuff like blue cheese mixed in, so I couldn't eat it (it smelled too gross). I ended up eating my normal chicken (canned chicken eww). I am not a cook at all, I am horrible in the kitchen, so my options for meals are kind of limited :-p

I just ended the day with a nice walk. My foot is almost healed, but it behaved enough to let me take a walk for a bit.

Thanks, we really did and got my exercise too!  LOL

I can so relate.  I remember when I was ready to eat solids, ground beef was what I tried too.  I did learn that the leaner the beef the drier it cooks and it didn't work well for me either.  I did mix in some spaghetti sauce and then A-1 on a different time and it worked SO much better.

Hang in their and take things slow, it will work.  There are some great wls cookbooks too, which I ordered off of Amazon which was a help.

Good luck and happy journey.

Hugs,
Barb
