Good Morning Cali Friends,

Wow, Monday already?  It seems like we were just celebrating Friday!  These weekends go by so fast.  I hope you had a great one.  What were the highlights of your weekend?  How about for the coming week?

Yesterday was a relaxing one for us.  We watched the Giants game and did a small amount of yard work.  I finished the Jaycee Dugard book which was extremely well written and sad but hopeful.  As I said yesterday, she is an amazing woman and is extremely bright and educated despite he ordeal.

This week will be a short one for me because I will take Friday off.  We are going to have a music jam weekend with my husband's friends on Sat and Sun.  I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing them.  Friday will be my house prep day.

I wish everyone a wonderful day.  Hope your week is an easy one.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning -

At this point my schedule looks good, it's going to be a nice and quiet week.  We all know how fast that can change ;).

Barb, I just bought the Jaycee Dugard book yesterday.  I started reading it last night.  I cried all the way through her tv interview, so I know I'm going to cry reading her book.  I agree with you she is an amazing inspirational woman.  I hope she can get to the point where she can do motivational speaking.

Had a great weekend, took the boys to Monterey Bay Aquarium on Saturday.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good Morning!!

I had a wonderful weekend, went to the Pow Wow in Vallejo along the waterfront.  Was amazing to look at all the different, colorful clothes!

Tomorrow I have my surgery consult - 26 hrs from now (not as if I am excited or anything!)

Trying to figure out what I want to do for my bday in 2 weeks - or if I even want to "celebrate".

Meanwhile, just trying to drag tail through today.

May you all have a wonderful day today - Happy Monday!

Good Morning,

Another week already. I'm still off from work, but I do go back on Wednesday. It has been wonderful being off. Got a lot done around the house, and got to relax some too. Did some yard work over the weekend. My back yard still needs major help, but getting there very slowly. I finally bought an umbrella for the back yard. I have no shade back there durning the hottest part of the day. I sat outside all afternoon, it was great. Amazing what a bit of shade will do for the tempature. I have a doctors appointment later today, but other then that, I don't plan on doing anything. I hope you all have a fabulous day!!!

The weekend was nice. Spent some time with some friends. Got a little exercise in.

I started at a new office today, and it's much busier than my previous assignment. I'm definitely going to have a very stressful couple of weeks to get use to the amount of work I have to do. I'm used to having a lot of down time at work, but that seems like a thing of the past. I also lost all of my friends that I worked with, and now there are only 3 other people in my office, and I don't like them...

I am thinking about going to the gym on my lunches ( i get 1.5 hr lunches) but I'll have to wait and see how things go.

I'm trying to get back into heavy training after my recovery week. But it's going to be tough because I'm doing the swim portion of a race on Sat. so I'll be traveling on Friday.

3 of us from OH were going to do an Ironman in the Santa Rosa area as a relay team. I was to do the swim, Seht is doing the bike and a friend whose screen name I forgot was to do the run. We called our team Winning by Losing as we've lost over 400 pounds between us!

But then J got an achilles injury and can't do the run. So now a friend from my tri club is doing the run. She's never had a weight problem in her life. But she's cool and it's better than scratching from the event.

Hey Barb, and all you So Cali folks, I had a relaxing weekend. Saturday we drove to visit a friend in Long Beach.  I walked up a flight of stairs, stopping only once to catch my breath. Then we did house chores and went to the market.  Sat night we were each relaxing with a book. Sunday Hubby and I went to church, then out to a friends place in corona and by the pool all afternoon until about 6pm. Gee it was nice  to sit by the pool and then jump in when the heat got around 100 degrees.

This week I have appointments and family visiting Tues and Weds. Then Friday I leave for Connecticut for a week of seeing more family and friends.  Hope to get a day or two in NYC.
Have a good week everyone.
Best, Amy
