Salutations on this sensational Saturday Cali Friends,

Hope all is well with you.  While I can NEVER do a shout out as good as Lu and others that have gone before me, I'll make a humble attempt...

Nicole: We sure do hope to see you at the picnic, lots of freinds, food, fun and laughs to be had.  In the meantime, hope you have a great time with wearing out the dog!  What kind of dog do you have?  Cleaning house, UGH, I have that chore to do when I get home from the picnic or tomorrow morning.

D:  See you and the family at the picnic!!!  4 weeks on the road, you poor thing, I can so  for relate.  Knowing you it will be a positive experience and you're well planned.  I hope it goes quickly for you and the weather cooperates.

Eileen:  Hey there my friend, hope that garden is coming along well and the errands got done before it got too hot yesterday.  Ugh the 90's all week eh?  See you at the picnic this afternoon.

acbbrown:  How was the restaurant?  This time is all about you, and that's ok.  You're going to do great.  You'd be surprised at what you can eat out that aren't solids.  Soup always works well, refried beans to name a couple.  Hang in there and enjoy the weekend.

Michelle: How were the fireworks?  I didn't realize it was the Cornfest already.  I've never been but would like to one of these days.  Can't wait to see you and the family at the picnic!  I sure do hope you get a chance to spend a little "me time" and relax.

Lu:  It's never too late!!!  Hope your hand is getting better.  I hope DD is going to be getting better and stronger each day and I am thankful that your sister is helping you with her.  Is this your annual trip with Steph?  Hope you have a wonderful time, can't wait to hear all about it.

Well the laundry is calling my name!  I also need to go make my goodies for the picnic.  I hope everyone has a sensational saturday and remember to do something nice just for you!

Hugs,
Barb

Thanks Barb! I'll be going to dinner tonight, so I'll update later

This morning has been crazy already and it's only 10:30 - I did laundry, and started to pack away all of my clothes that are too big. It's been a lot harder emotionally than I was expecting. I'm hoping I'll feel better about it when I go shopping for some new shirts today

Hope everyone has a good time at the picnic. Hopefully one day i'll be able to come up and join you.

Had a lovely dinner outside with the family, our last dinner together for a week.  I will be home for the weekend and the back on the road to Ukiah for two weeks.  Hope the weather does not get too hot!

Hello Barb & everyone on the board....

The fireworks last night were so fun!  We parked outside the fair and had a picnic dinner.  They didn't start till about 10p, it they were worth the wait.  If I can remember next year I'll post on the board to let everyone know.

It was so nice seeing everyone today at the picnic.  I love sharing stories and visiting with everyone.  My boys were tuckered out, Lucas took a nap & didn't get up till 6:30p!

I hope everyone has a good night.

Good Morning Barb,

Oh whew this Saturday was a chaotic one for me. Spent an hour mowing my backyard (all 1/4 acre) and well that killed off a heap of calories!!! Wore my poor dog out (Gunny).  He is a Chihuahua rat terrier mix - and sneaky lil turkey - but wouldnt trade him for anything.  One thing about having no one else to help with stuff around the house, is I get bombarded with stuff and sometimes a little overwhelming. I was going non stop all day Saturday, gardening, mowing, planting, watering, bathing the dog, cleaning, working out etc.  I need to get my tush over there and meet you all!

I need the reminder to do something nice for me because often I forget me in the midst of the shuffle!
