Liver ultrasound

I found out yesterday the bariatric doc wants my pcp to get me in to do an ultra sound of my liver.  Is this something that has happened to anyone else?  What are they looking for?  I am rather perplexed.  

I tried to ask last night, but for some reason this site was acting all hinky on my lap top at home

most likely checking to make sure your liver is not enlarged, or to see if there is fatty tissue on the liver.  If so, it would not necessarily keep you from having WLS, but it would affect your after care.
