bad situations - dry heave?

Okay so Ive been going back n forth to the E.R - my surgoen is waiting for approval to take my gallbladder out. Right in the midst of a gallbladder attack on Monday I also dealth with food poisoning.  Now I've got some form of bronchitis or something forming so I'm coughing as well.  I ate this morning..1/2 a baegel with an egg..dipped my baegel in the egg..I've been eating it for a wihle it has NEVER bothered me.

This morning though an hour after I ate ..my entire tummy started burning then I was getting a hot and cold rushing feeling from my tummy up to my chest.  My food is too far down to come up but I got the foamies so ran to the bathroom and BOOM..dry heaves or rather...mucus heaves??

The advice I need is this: I was throwing up only tiny bits of mucus since my food is over 2 hours down the track there.  With dry heaving is it normal for there to be a LITTLE bit of blood? By little I mean I had to REALLY look to tell that it was red.  Just a few tiny dots..not even enough to take a blood sugar with...I'm assuming the strong heaves irritated the wall of my pouch but...?? I dont know I think I'm just feeling horrible and need some assurance that things will be okay? Heck if I know!

I don't know the answer to that because when I do have to throw up it is usually within 20 minutes of eating. I do know the stomach flu is going around and the bronchitis flu is going around. I have had both. The bronchitis is really hard to get rid of. I went through 2 different antibiotics.

I hope you start to feel better and Good Luck with the gallbladder surgery.

A few thoughts in no special order.  You might want to get scoped (endoscope) by a Gastroenterologist...To see if you have a stricture or ulcer.  If it is an ulcer you'll be back on Prilosec or something like it.  Don't know about the blood...That is why you need the scope.  Stick with dense protein for awhile...Find what works and stay with it for awhile.  The baegel could have been the problem...it may never have desolved and gone down into the small intestine.  Hang in there...It really should get better soon.  Many post RNYers have their gallbladders out and feel so much better later.  Brian

I honestly can't wait to have it out. I can eat now with no problems ...just back to about the 2nd week of semi-solids where you can hardly eat much at a time, couple bites and I'm done! Dr. Coirin still wants the GB out though regardless, he said it's only going to get worse each time.  My goofy neck and shoulders, sometimes my arms are spazzing though ...like burning pain..like when you sprain your ankle badly ...active-on is helping me LOTS with that. Several people including 2 RN's suggested that possibly all the inflammation from the gallbladder is causing pressure in the middle of my back (between the shoulders) and since I have a messed up spine anyways it's probly messing with my nerves?? I dont know but I cant wait to have this dumb thing out and see if it fixes the problem lol. Dr. said all my vitamin levels were fine except D so ...yeah I'm rambling LOL
