Anyone in Northern California?

 Hello,

New to this and haven't had surgery yet ( scheduled for July ). I am up in Folsom California (about 20min east of Sacramento). Just wondering if anyone close by.

Welcome to the Cali Board.  There are a few people who live in Sacramento that check in and out of the Cali Boards.  Nancy aka sunray is one and she is also part of our Nor Cal Losers Group who rallys once each month for lunch or some fun outting.  In fact, I'll see her today at our luncheon and I will tell her about your post.  She's a wonderful lady.

We hope you'll join us for a luncheon one of these months, we're a great group.

I saw Nancy today and she said she would check in on OH and let you know about support groups in your area.  She's great as are all the ladies and gents in our Nor Cal Losers group.  Hope you can come next month, we look forward to having you become one of the family!

Welcome to the Cali Board! I live in the Central Valley, my son lives in Roseville so I know of Folsom. Like Barb said there are quite a few of us from the Sacramento. Good luck with your surgery. July will be here before you know it. Please keep us posted on your progress and feel free to join any post or to post yourself. We are here to encourage you and help in any way we can.

 Thanks so much Elizabeth! I've notice both of you have done remarkable in your weight loss.....so exciting! I need to try and figure out how to do the ticker and upload a picture...My computer is almost ready to retire and doesn't to work much...lol   I will keep everyone updated on my journey! Is there a way to find people on here, or do you just notice posts from the same people often?

Welsome to the boards. I live in Galt and an about 40 min from your location. My inlaws live in Orangevale. I had surgery in Sept of 2010 and currently down 110 lbs. It has been a great process for me. Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]

Wow....your doing awesome =) I can't believe how supportive people are on here. So glad I found this site. I'm not having surgery till July but am getting exciting yet scared of all of the risks at the same time. Are you on facebook? Yes I am on Facebook and you are more then welcome to add me. Look for Roberta Wilfong and if you cant find me let me know or search by my e-mail addy. We do have a support group at Kaiser inS. Sac on Mondays is you ever want to attend one. We welcome everyone. I also attend support groups with Methodist and FA ( Food Addiction Annonomous). If you want I can look in to different groups in your area and I'd be more then happy to travel out there to attend one with you. If you message me Ill be happy to exchange numbers as well. Look forward to hearing you and seeing you through this journey.
