Dr. Cirangle

 Hello,

My first appointment is this Friday with Dr. Cirangle in San Francisco and wanted to see if anyone has used him. What was your experience with him?

I used him for my sleeve.

My experience has been that he has magic hands. His complication rate is one of the lowest in the country and the nurses at the hospital all made a point to tell me how lucky I was to have him and that his patients just don't have the problems that other doctor's patients do.

In terms of bedside manner, he has a strong personality and it's not to everyone's taste. Some people find him "mean". I don't see that personally. Even when he was telling me at 3 weeks out that my weight loss was too slow, I could feel his concern and that he was honestly worried I wouldn't get to goal. As a result of his pushing, I ended up losing way more than I ever thought possible and I ended up transforming myself into an athlete. If I had a doctor who told me I was doing great just be losing at all or encouraged me to have a high goal weight, I don't think that would have happened.

 Thank you so much for your reply =)  Hearing that he is a great surgeon helps. I am not as concerned about his bedside manner, that I can deal with.  Sounds like your doing amazing, especially by looking at your ticker below your post!

Lots of people on the vsg sleeve board used him and they all love him and are all doing great,  you have chosen a gifted surgeon.   Take care jeani :o)

If you haven't fully committed to cirangle and are looking for another surgeon to compare him to check out dr Jossart. I had my surgery with him 3 weeks ago and my whole experience with him was fantastic including hospital, anesthesiologist, assistants etc. I paid out of pocket and he was much less than cirangle though even if he was the same price I would have gone with Jossart.  THanks for the reply. I have just been approved with Dr. Cirangle and am extactic with his experience with the VSG and low complication rate. ALthough I have heard he doesn't have the best bed side manners, I am used to that as I work with Dr.s as well.  I need someone who maybe is tough on his patients as he expects them to have great results. I do better when less coddled.  =)
