Gasious smell,taste burning in throat ?

woke me up coughing from a sound sleep? Is this a issue from GBP? I had a revision done last October. No one else could smell the odor but me. Kind of like a chemical caustic smell and burning electrical smell together. My throat was burning and felt like it was closing up on me. I woke up my friend and she sat with me for over an hour as it began to subside. I had to spit up several times and was nausous too.
I haven't a clue what it was???? Anyone ever had this?
