post op Orange County OBGYN recommendations??
Hi,
I am 2 years out from duodenal switch. Pre-op I had PCOS and try as I might I could not get pregnant. My weight has been stable since November and my husband and I recently started trying to conceive.I am a few days late and I just tested positive on a home pregnancy test!!!
While I hope this is good news, I realize it could be a false positive and I also realize the first trimester can be tricky, so I am not announcing to the world yet. OTOH, I need to find an OBGYN. We have not been in S. Ca for very long and since I moved here to attend grad school, most of my friends are younger than I am and have no children (I am 40).
Does anyone have an OBGYN they would recommend in OC, preferably near Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa? I prefer someone who will be understanding of my malabsorption issues and be willing to communicate with my surgeon if they are not familiar with my procedure. My one ER experience here had me begging them to call my surgeon's office on my surgeon's office's instructions and they woudn't do it (that was at St Joseph). Please let me know if you have a recommendation and why you like them.
Thanks!

I love my OBGYN and the group they are in Laguna Hills just off the freeway at saddleback hospital. It is Orange Coast Womens Medical Group. I see Dr. May and actually asked his opinion last year prior to my surgery. He recommended the same surgeon, he had researched it for a friend. The website is http://www.ocwmg.com/.
I hope this helps

Congrats! That was one of my concerns also but my doc suggested Dr. RAKASHANI. She is amazing! patient, kind and has lots of experience with post-ops! She located right next to Fountain Valley Regional hospital, and is contracted with F.V. Regional, Hoag and Orange Coast Memorial. The office number is:(714)241-8814. Again CONGRATS and good luck!
