Anyonw that has had Dr. Yadagar

I am currently seeing Dr. Yadegar, waiting on approval.

 I am from the AV, although not a patient of Dr. Y.  

Im so glad to find some locals! I am waiting to get my referral to dr. yadagar. I have aetna and have to finish thier 6 month program. I am 3 months in. How close are you to surgery?

I have Tricare, so there isn't a 6 month program. I have had my initial seminar and consultation with Dr. Yadegar.  He will have you go to a seminar before your first appointment, and there is a test in the folder of papers he gives you. The answers are in the presentation he gives. Just thought I would give you a heads up since they neglected to tell me about it and then I had to try and answer it by memory. He is a great doctor, I really like him. He definitely makes sure you know what you are getting yourself into and tries to prepare you as much as possible. He gave me the list of pre-op testing I needed to complete at that first appointment, which I have completed everything except still waiting on my nutritionist to send in her report. Then his office can submit for approval. They are thinking that my surgery will probably be in early August.

Do you have to complete your 6 months before you get your referral? If not, then you could be looking at surgery in September or October, depending on how far out he is booked.
