Sunday Good Morning

Hi all,

I thought I'd start Sunday's message since I seem to be the first one here.

Lu, I hope you had a great day off and that you did turn off the phone.

Elizabeth, I hope you're enjoying the new carpet. Home improvment is work, but it's so much fun when the final product is delivered!!

I woke up to a thick marine layer in Santa Cruz. My plan was to put on the knee straight jacket (the knee brace that keeps my leg from bending) and hit every nursery in the county with the hubby in our convertable 1970 VW bug, but that isn't going to happen if Mr. Sun doesn't appear. We'll just have to take another car.

For those of you who kindly asked, I injured my knee 4 weeks ago walking on a very wet and slippery sidewalk in San Francisco. I started walking over on of those metal utility plates and went flying and landed right on my knee cap. I didn't break anything, but damaged cartlidge and put a rather impressive bloody boo boo on my knee. The physical therapist told me I have at least two more weeks of doing nothing but elevation and ice.

I guess it's better late than never!  LOL.

Hope the sun peeked out for you and the nursery shopping was a success.

Yesterday we went to the Nor Cal Loser's outting.  SOOOOO much fun.  We went bowling from 3-5, I didn't do great but sure did have fun.  We all did, and I think Ms. V did the best of all of us.  The it was to see Gun's and Hoses, a basketball game between the Police and Fire Dept to benefit Special Olympics.  That was so much fun and D&R and Crystal and Brad won raffle prizes.  Then it was on to pizza and bluegrass, and we had a great time there as well.  MaryKaye, Crystal, Jason and Brad, were the hosts with the mosts!!!  We really had such fun.  A small group but we sure did make the most of the day together.

This morning the Mom's and I went to breakfast and then we drove my Step Mom home.  Of course on the way, we stopped at Michaels and had fun there.

Got home, made dinner and now relaxing.

I had a wonderful day off. Woke up around 8 and took the dogs to the park to play, but it was so hot, we left after about 30 minutes. We came home and rested, before starting the bathing fun. .....lol OK they both done good. So after a good drying, in the sun, we took nap. YAh nap!!! Then we went to Petco...and they got some new "clothes" A new harness for  both. Blue for Frankie and Pick for chloe. To cool. Frankies has the "bad to the bone" simble on it.

That was my day in a nut shell.

Tomorrow I am have someone coming over to see about putting tile down. I want tile in the living room, dinning room, kitchen and hall....just about my whole house. LOL  I wont to have it done before DD gets home, but I don't want the dust to bother her.  What a good sister I am...beside, she want carpet...but its my house. My bill! my choice. Right?

If you get a chance to see a movie call Antwone Fisher. Take it!! Its a really good, heart felt movie. That can make you cry.

It is Monday morning and I am checking in. Sounds like everyone had a great weekend.  I love, love, love my new carpet. Lu you will love your new tile too. It is your house and your money so get what will make you  happy!

Yesterday was Devan's 2nd birthday party. Her birthday is actually today. She is so cute. She was opening her presents and said, "These are just for me". It was so cute. She was so excited! She looked so cute!

Today is going through boxes and a little house cleaning.
