Will it ever end!

I was at emergency for 20 hours straight staring Monday night.  I had a wonderful weekend and then came home to a sick mom again!  My sister stayed with her while I was gone but did not notice my mom getting weaker and in pain.  there was another blockage it seems and they finally did a upper and lower GI.  She did not have anything by mouth except the contrast solution for over 30 hours.  I am so tired and had to send Ms V and DH home by themselves.  I love being with my parents, but not like this.  Say a prayer, swing something or whatever you do so she is on the mend soon!

You know you and your Mother are in  my prayers. I feel so bad for your Mother. Why does she keep getting these blockages or do they know? Hang in there! Try and get some rest.

part of the problem is they do not know why she keeps getting the blockage.  They said after surgery your intestines are lazy, I have heard this.  Also, that the pain meds will make you constipated.  But she was having bowel movements and still gets the blockage.  I just hope this last time did the trick.  Thanks for your prayers.

D...how frustrating this all must be for you.  I am assuming the nurses and docs know what they are doing, such as keeping your mom on IV fluids!  I'm glad R and Ms V were able to go down and that you got away for a few hours at least.  I worry about you...please be sure you are being good to yourself...water, eating, water, sleeping, water...do you get my drift?? LOL As always, you and yours are in my prayers...and guess I could rub my rabbits foot a few tims, just in case ;-)

Hi Nancy,
I am so trying to be nice to myself, but it has been hard.  I am drinking lots, just not eating enough protein I am sure.  I always keep a food log and have not been able to because of my trips back and forth to the hospital.  I am on track for today, so it is a new day.  Thanks for the prayers.  I am going home on Thursday come rain or shine!!  My sibling will have to step up to the plate!!! 

So sorry that you and your Mom are going through this.  Hopefully, they will figure out what is going on and that they are able to prevent it happening again.  I am glad that you had a good weekend at least.
