Mom coming home!

Last night the surgeon came in and said Mom was doing well, they had taken tube out Tuesday night.  She had some food yesterday and tolerated it well.  Her throat is still very irritated because of the tube so it is hard for her to swallow.  She will be on a soft diet for a week and then on to regular food as tolerated.  I told her I knew a little bit about a soft diet!  Funny isn't it. 

She has lost about 30 pounds since this incident began back in October 2010.  She could have afforded to lose a few pounds back then, but now she said she does not want to look like a charpae dog.  I am glad she has gotten her sense of humor back.  Depending on how she does this weekend, I may have to stay one more week down here.  Poor Ms V and DH will be on there own again after they go home on Monday if so.

What wonderful news D!  You can always tell when someone is beginning to feel better....they start making jokes ;-)  That sure was the hard way to lose a few..here's hoping her health continues to improve. Keeping you and yours in my prayers...and wishing your mom a speedy recovery now that she is home ^_^

So glad to hear your Mom is feeling well and will be coming home soon.  Having a sense of humor is the best medicine every!!!  I hope you have a great visit with Ms. V and DH this weekend and I know they will sure be happy once you get back home.
