Good Morning Calif.....

WOW!! I had A great start to, what is looking to be a nice day. I woke early and took the kids on a mile walk. Mostly so they could ckeck there P-mail. Then went for my mile run/walk. Day one of my training for D-Land 1/2.

I have nothing planned for the rest of the day. If it warms up enough, I will give the kids another bath, and soak there nails and give them a great clip job. I have found that it don't hurt them as much if they have been soaked for a bit and softens them up. I so want to paint Chloe's nails but she don't seem to happy with the thought. LOL

Tomorrow, is BINGO with the family HEHEHEH I can't wait. I will go later and get some ink blotters things. LOL dobbers? I use to love calling bingo, when my mom ran the bingo hall where she lived, and I use to be able to keep up with 6 or 8 cards, but not sure how I will do now. Wish me luck and BIG BUCKS!!

Mommy..........I love to dry my stuff on the line. The smell is wonderful. So fresh. OMG! I can't wait to see what the DH packs for me. LOL I just hope for you its more then just undies.

Barb......yesterday at work was great. Just busy enough to make time move, but not to bad. How is your S-mom doing? I hope she is feeling much better. How was the class today and what was the topic? I wish I had more space to plant a nice garden. I can only do pots. Sucks for sure. So I expect gifts all summer long from you. LOL Good Luck with winter stuff.

Good Evening Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu, sure do hope you had a good time at Bingo.  I love to play but haven't done it in so long.

Today's class was really good.  It was on the topic of classified employee legal issues and was presented by a very knowledgeabe attorney.  My Step Mom is doing so much better and is enjoying her visit especially since she is feeling better.  We had her cutting seed potatoes yesterday and we will get those in the ground tomorrow.

Yesterday we planted 3 types of lettuce, spinach, peas and blueberries.  Tomorrow we'll be planting carrots radishes, garlic and onions.  So we actually are growing salads and then in May we'll put in the tomatoes, squashes and beans.  There is nothing tastier than home grown veggies and I know what's on them.  We plant our veggies and tend to them organically and then if we get pests, we use organic insecticidal soaps or as Ron says, "release the hounds" and we get lady bugs or praying mantis as those are the good bugs and they work for us!  LOL

Tomorrow I will take my Step Mom home and probably do a little shopping at WalMart on the way to SF.

Hey Lu, I'm here, I'm here or should I say there! LOL! I have been in Las Vegas for 13 days and I am not going home until the 10th. DH says that is all I can stay for. Well if I had to stay longer he would understand. I am very homesick though. I talk to my grand babies every couple of days. My DL says they are really asking for me. I talk to my DH four or five times a day. He really misses me and I miss him too.

I got my daddy into the new nursing home yesterday afternoon. I have to say he is adjusting very well. He usually freaks out with change. He already thinks he is the new chaplain there and says he enjoys his job. This place is just so much nicer than where he was in Henderson. It is so clean! I just can't say enough about how clean it is. One week from today we will be moving my mother into her room at the assisted living place. It is real nice too. She will then be 1 1/2 miles from my daddy and 3 1/2 miles from her church and her friends from church live in that area so she will be so much happier. She won't even have to get on the freeway to go see daddy. This week I will be spending my time getting mother ready to move and spending time with daddy.
 
So that is all I have been doing since I got here--getting things worked out for them. My parent are 82 and just need our help now.

Elizabeth so glad you got things arranged.  I am still in SB too, my Mom came home from hospital yesterday.  She did not have a good night.  Hopefully it was just the move from hospital to home.  She cannot keep anything down, but was able to eat in the hospital.  I know those grandbabies are missing you, Ms V calls and talks to me, we skypw too so she can see me, it helps a little.

I know you  miss Ms V and she misses you. You are lucky you can skypw. I hope your mother will be doing better soon. I know she does not want to go back in the hospital.
