2 weeks diet started

I have to say I thought I'd be dying of hunger by now. Today is the 3rd day and so far so good. I get to drink 5-6 shakes a a cheese stick and 1 egg a day. I am really starting to get excited as my surgery is is a week and a half. I called the hospital this am to set up the registration and next week I go do my EKG and labs.
Does anyone drink Isopure? And did you drink it while in the hospital? I'm wondering if I should go buy some.

How exciting, you're so close to the losers bench now.  Each program is so different.  I would hold off on buying a lot of protein, as your taste may change post surgery for a while.  I did not drink protein in the hospital, it was pretty much broth and jello and clear liquids.  It wasn't until I got home that I moved to smooth liquid type things and mushies stuff.  I would ask your surgeon or nutritionist what they recommend that will be approved on their particular program.

Thanks for the advice , Barb. The nut said not even to bother with the Isopure because I only really needed the clear protein for like 1 day while in the hospital but the hospital will give me everything I need.

My surgeon us home with 2 bottles of isopure and told us to take it to the hospital and I had to drink it in the hospital. I don't really like the isopure. I buy another protein water. I have run out of it here in Las Vegas. I did not think I would be staying this long. I will try to remember to send you the name when I get home and a link where you can buy it. It tasted much better than Isopure. I have to dilute it with water though. Your time will be here before you know it. I would tell you to have your kitchen ready before surgery. It is easier to have what you need when you get home. You know we are pulling for you!

 Hi Kandis, I got my surgery date. I am doing it on my Birthday. Which is the day after yours. I am excited and very nerves. I lucked out and dont have to do a liquid diet until the day before my surgery. Anyway Hang in there it will be here before you know.
