Hi everyone!! My Doctor says I am doing great in everything except my water intake.  I need some suggestions.  I generally drink two small arrowhead bottles of water daily which is about 30oz.  My doctor said I need to be closer to four bottles in order to get enough water for my body.  Any ideas anyone? I feel like I cant drink that much.

thanks for any suggestions,
Amy

Begin as early as possible in the morning and all throughout the evening hours until you go to bed.  You'll have to carry that bottle everywhere. Believe me, I'm 5 years out and I can drink a gallon...you'll get there ;-)

Hi Amy...fluid intake doesn't have to be jus****er...protein drinks, decaf coffee and tea, crystal lite all count toward fluid intake.  If it's the taste of the water that keeps you from drinking more (I can't drink just tap water), try some of the zero calorie flavored water,..i.e. Propel Zero and Sobe Zero water have great flavors.  I buy Sobe Zero in 3-flavor cases at Sam's and Walmart sells single bottles, so you could try a particular flavor.  I agree it's not easy but I really notice the difference when I don't get at least 60oz in a day....it also helps keep at bay weight regain ;-)
Good luck..you can do it!!

thanks for the suggestions. I will try the flavored water idea and see how it goes. Best to all, Amy

I start my morning with a 20 oz. protein shake. It has 16 oz. of water so it gives me a good start on the fluids. I also carry a big water bottle around. With smaller bottles, when one runs out, there is often a gap before you get another one.
