Good Morning ..Yes! it is still Morning

Good Morning everyone....

So today is my day off, so I stayed in bed and watched TV. Its was great and  I'm not sorry I done it.

I hope you have a great imagination, do I have a story for you.

Last night when I got home from work. I took the "kids" for a walk. Its a bit cold so I put Frankie Jacket on, and I put Chloes "blanket" on her. I wanted to make sure they stayed warm. I also put on a lite jacket. We sat out for a fast walk. I was thinking I would let the kids check there P-mail, and then we would set out for a great walk. We got as far as about three house down, when the lady living there, stepped out and said, (I see her around and we do say Hi, just dont have a clue as to what her name is) I was just going to take the dog for a walk. Can I join you all? I told her sure, so now there is her long hair white fluff ball, and she has a t-shirt on that teal in color. OMG!! it was so cute. We get down about block and a couple and there Dalmaton joins us, (4 dogs now)...Any wya, as we went along, more joined. At the end, there was 15 humans, and 12 dogs. Only 3 dogs didn't have some type of clothing on. You should have seen us. It was had to be site. I wonder what the fold in the cars driving by thought? The lady down the way took some pictures so I will go and see about getting a copy or if she has them on line, I will make sure everyone is able to see it.

OK I wish you all a great day. I need to run, I had a doc appointment.

Oh Lu, you have to post that pix! LOL  what a sight that must have been LOL  I can imagine you must have had a ball, though, meeting new people, not having to walk alone...how neat.

I have a dentist appt in little over an hour....and how I got talked into it is beyond me!!  I haven't been in a year...and I don't want to go now...even IF it is just a cleaning :-(  Hubby has been looking into some dental work and since it's gonna cost some bucks, we both have been talking with the dentist...last time there he said 'its my turn'..ugh :-(

Work is still slow but I see the glimmer of 'pressure' just around the corner.  April is our big push for our annual convention besides budget talks, annual membership dues billing and our big leadership conference...all to be accomplished by the end of June.  Budgets won't be fun...as all companies are hurting, so are we and we're looking at some big cuts (1 person I know will be let go and another may be cut back to part time).

Been stewing over weight issues...can't make the numbers disappear very easily. But I got to looking at my before pix, then 1 year out, and finally the one taken just last week at 2 yrs out...I got nothing to be ashamed about!  I've done darn good, if I say so myself LOL   I think it's time to appreciate this 'new me' and enjoy the things I can do...and start thinking of some NEW things never tried!!  Take this journey FORWARD instead of looking back...need to practice my own advice LOL

You are darned right you have nothing to be ashamed of sweetie! You look faaaabuuuulous! You have everything to be proud of! 

I will agree that you all must have looked so cute. It sounds like you had a good time. 

I am still in Las Vegas. I do have some good news though. I am picking up my dad tomorrow and moving him to the new nursing home!!! I am so exited. It is so much better than where his is now. It is so clean and they have a unit just for people with Alzheimer's and dementia. It has only 24 beds in the unit so he will be getting much better care. The unit he is in now has Alzheimer's, dementia, mentally challenged, and mentally ill. There is one guy who sits in his wheel chair and takes his shirt off and licks himself.  This new place is so clean too. I am so glad he got in. My mother is going to an assisted living place about 1 1/2 miles away. It is so awesome. She will actually be living on the indepent living side. They will fix her meals and clean her room but she does not need help bathing or taking her meds etc. She will also get to have a private room. She is so happy about that. I am still not sure when I will be home. Probably another week here. My DH and grandbabies are really missing me and I miss them too!

I am so happy to learn you have your folks settled and so close to each other.  How fortunate to find such a wonderful place for your dad...24 beds is unheard of as I'm sure you are aware.  And Kudos to your mom for staying as independent as she can for as long as she can.  Quality of life means so much....Lon's mom is 92 this year and still lives in her home-truly amazes us ^_^

Hope your trip home is safe...and I KNOW the grandbabies miss you!!

Lu, wow what a great walk with the humans and the dogs, can't wait to see a pic.  How fun that must have been.

Nancy, you're right you have everything to be proud of.  Hope the dentist visit was good and all is fine.  Every 6 months whether you need it or not!  I make Ron go and I go faithfully.

Elizabeth, so glad to hear your Dad and Mom will be in great places.  You are so wonderful to make sure that everything is set up, and I know it eases your mind as well.

I managed to get two walks in today!  One at lunch and then Ron and I went tonight before dinner.  I feel so much better.  Now to get some of these extra lbs off and moving in the right direction again.

Wow Barb! 2 walks...I'm impressed ;-) I got 1 small one in today...barely said the word 'walk' and the 2 youngun's Trudy and Rusty (dogs for those not aware LOL) beat me to the door.  First walk for them in months!!  The weather has just been too cold and crappy to take them out.  Hopefully, the weather will stay nice and we both can get some serious walking in....still planning on doing the Bay to Breakers?? ;-)
