Good Morning Calif.......

Yesterday and last night was my frist night alone. It was wonderful!!! I was in bed by 10 and snoring nice when my sister called at 1130, to let me know the made it home. That woke me up for few minutes but not for long. I was out like a light when the alarm screamed at me this morning. I woke up with smile. Because after today, I am off for 3 day. Now we are talking. "Home alone" I cleaned yesterday and done most of my laundary, only a load or two then I am free to do nothing. :-D

So yesterday was the Knotts Berry Farm, Coaster Run. I ended up having to walk along because it started raining about 3 minutes before the start, and my friends didn't want to get wet. So they went to IHOP. But never fear, I still had a great time. You know how you meet new people all around. Well I talked to everyone along the way. The medal is nice and the weather was great compared to LA Marathon.

So what did you do over the weekend? What do you have planned for the the up coming week?

Hey I am just putting this out there. But Santa Anita 5k is coming up, anyone want to join me walking it and spending the day at the races?

Lu, enjoy that home alone time!  So glad to hear you enjoyed your walk too.  If I lived closer I would be happy to join you.

Yesterday was a Costco run and then my mother-in-law and I went to the new store Fresh and Easy.  Some good prices there.  So grocery shopping is done for a week or so.

This week work, we're off on Friday but I have a class to attend for the next two Saturdays so not too much for weekends coming up.  I'll pick up my Step Mom on Thurs nite and she will be spending the weekend with us.

Hope everyone has a great week ahead.  So far it looks like no rain for a few days.  Maybe we can get our winter veggies in the ground finally!!!  Our lettuce is outgrowing their 6 pack containers!

I am glad your life is settling down, Luana.  Sounds like everything is roses.  I would love to do a 5k with you, but since this is the start of my journey, I am pretty sure this body could not take me 5k.  When I have lost some weight, I would love to do it.  Maybe we could make a date for the Knott's Berry Farm one next year.

I did go to the gym on Friday and Saturday and did two great workouts.  It felt good.  I am upset with myself, however, because I am not making good food choices.

enjoy your time to yourself.  It is nice to have company, but also nice to have some quite time.

Had a great weekend with my family, the #1 son came home with is girlfriend.  We did the city on Saturday (thank god the rain stopped) and dinner at our house on Sunday.  Ms V was so happy to see brother.  His GF was Ms V's best friend by the time they left (stuffed like turkeys).  I made his favorite for dinner chicken enchiladas and rice.  Sent doggy bag home with him of left overs and some other goodies.  He will not starve for at least a week.

I am back on the road again this week, but the weather is much nicer.  Hope you all have a great day.

sitting at work, wishing I had deadlines or something..WAIT!! what am  I saying???!!! LOL  The last 2 weeks have almost been boring at work...nothing 'having' to be accomplished...such a rare occurance!  Probably should bite my tongue...the 'guys' are back from Board of Directors meetings tomorrow...I know the Boss will have something he wants done LOL

Weekend was uneventful..except for watching my back yard and patio flood!  I've been in this house since 1979...have NEVER seen the water cover the patio AND reach the back porch step.  Granted, only an inch
or two..but still..unimaginable!  4 little dogs said no way were they going outside...time for doggie diapers on the bathroom floor (I know, they are soooooo spoiled!)  And I do blame it on the rain that I spent money on the internet!!  With nothing else to do or anywhere to go...I spent 4 hours researching digital cameras and ended the project by buying a new Panasonic Lumix FZ35  14.1megapixal, 18X zoom camera (doesn't that sound inmpressive? LOL).  Now all I gotta do is READ the manual to figure out how it works ;=) Thank Goodness hubby understands all the techie jargon LOL

Sunday was a totally laid back day except for giving 2 of the 4 dogs their baths and clipping nails.  Looking back, I don't think we did much of anything bu****ch old movies on  AMC and TCM.  Tonight will be line-dancing exercise class and then on to support group meeting. Gotta keep myself accountable here ;-)
Weatherman promises no rain until at least Friday (of course! the weekend!!! grrrr) but during the week highs close to 70 or better....come on sun!!
Has anybody noticed that Friday is April 1st!?  What pranks are you planning??  Of course, I wouldn't do anything obnoxious....uh huh  LOLOL
