My cholesterol and liver counts are too high, so they're going to call me to check them in another 2-3 weeks. :(    So hopefully, by taking the simvastatin they prescribed me today, my cholesterol will go down. I think I'll take some liver cure pills. Your thoughts? :(

Thanks!

My husband has high cholesterol and the doctors just told him to start taking fish oil pills. Said they would lower his bad cholesterol while raising the good cholesterol. Have never heard of liver cure pills. Hopefully it all works out good for you.

It's a liver health vitamin that actually cleanses the liver. What kind of fish oil pills did he take?

I just had my sleeve done on 3/14 and my liver count was 6 times normal, I am also a bleeder as I have chronic ADEK defiency.. my surgery was a go!  My liver count has gone as high as 10 times the norm so 6 times is an improvement.  My cholestrol is over 400 this is due to biliary disease and no meds help.  If you have liver disease they will find out during a biopsy when they do your sle eve.  No kidding.  I have had liver disease for 20 years now.  I am stage 3 unless the latest biopsy says 4.  Dr. Gershwin who is a leading research specialist in liver disease at UC Davis says there are no supplements or liver cure pills that will really help, some hurt.  If there were supplements that helped they would be handing them out by the boxcar.  People will believe what they will believe but the proof is in the long range testing they have done and people like me have participated in hoping to find a miricle cure for diseased liver.  My sister is a 30 year praticioner in alternative medicines and she agrees with him.  There are some liver issues that alternative medicines help with but not liver diseases.  Go to a hepatologist for a liver issue, a gastrologist for a stomach/colon issue and a family dr for a cold and labs.  I don't mean to sound harsh but family drs wasted 15 years of my life with tests while my liver was slowly diseasing away.  Now the only thing I can do is get a transplant.

Hi Stephanie, I'm so sorry to hear that. I was told that I need to bring my liver count down and a friend suggested "Liver Rescue 4+". Here's the link:

It's a little pricey, but I've been told it's a life saver. I'll keep you in my prayers.
