2 year Celebration!

Today makes it 2 years exactly since my surgery that has literally changed my life ^_^  Then I could only complete 15min @ 1.5mph on the treadmill...tonight I completed 45min @3.8mph;  Then I could only walk 1 trip around the office block (.6mile in 20min)...today I can make 4 trips (2.4mi in 45min).   Back then I wouldn't even think about going to an exercise class....today I have added a line-dance exercise class to my schedule...hopeing to make it twice a week.   Back then I wore size 22-24 and closing in on 24-26...today I can wear 8-10!  I am off all meds, my blood pressure is below 'normal' most days and my recent labs came back spot-on....life is wonderful...and no longer dictated by what I weigh.  

And now...I'm looking toward the future...looking for a way to 'pay forward' what I have been given.  I'm far from being an expert, but I want to help and support others experiencing this journey...it is one heck of a ride!
Thank you to all of OH and the Cali forum peeps, especially.  Your support, advice and encouragement have been so valuable...soooo PRICELE$$!!!

Thanks D....one of the greatest benefits I've gained from this journey is the fantabulous, wonderous, awesomeness friends I have been privaleged to make ;-)  Getting to know you and yours has been sooo much fun!

I'm still looking at the calendar Elizabeth...we gotta plan that shopping day!  This darn rain has to stop sometime! LOL  This journey has been quite a ride...I even got to know a local 'celebrity'..YOU..making commercials...did ya ever think???

Ah, I remember it well.  I remember meeting you at Starbucks shortly after your surgery.  What a great journey this has been and a fantastic friendship that God has blessed us with.

Congrats on the awesome job you've done working your WLS program.  You have been an excellent role model for 'newbies' and 'oldies' alike!!
