Issues with certain smells

I had surgery on March 1, ever since I have been home certain smells in my house are making me ill.  They dont smell the same and I am wondering how comman this is.

when I got home from the hospital,  certain food smells would make me feel sick. It did go away after a couple weeks of being home. Hope that helps some.
