I hope everyone had a great Welcome? I spent most of the weekend doing nothing. OMG!! What a great feeling it was. I did do some laundry and I did cook dinner last night, but that was it. Nothing else. It was great. I don't get many of these day or weekend, and it was wonderful and I feel that I used my time wisely. LOL

So nothing new to talk about really. DD is still on IV but today is her last day. So she is very happy about that. The Nurse had to change her site last night because it was taking up to 3 hours for treatment. Last night after the nurse changed the site, it took only about an hour and 15 minutes. Now that is not so bad.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

So glad to hear you received some well deserved R&R and that DD is doing well too.

Last weekend wasn't so relaxing for me, ended up taking my step mom to the Dr and long story short, to the ER where they admitted her.  She was released on Sunday and is now recouping at our house for the week.  She appears to be doing better but in my opinion, they released her too early and never addressed some of her symptoms, cough and congestion.

I am hopeful for a more relaxing weekend coming up.

Barb...so sorry to hear about Lil..give her a gentle hug for me! Sounds like some pampering is due..IF she'll let you LOL  Tell her I hope she gets better in time to come to the luncheon on Saturday!!

I am glad you had a great weekend Lu. Glad to hear DD is doing better.

Barb, I hope your MIL is doing better soon. This flu is really bad that is going around. I think when she is better you need some pampering! You are a good DIL!

Nancy, I bought a leather purse for $20 at the Leather Works in Old Town. It is to bad you did not make it there on Sat we probably would have seen each other.

As everyone has now guessed I went to Old Town Sacramento on Saturday. We rode the Amtrack there and back. There was about 50 of us Red Hat Ladies on the train. One word of advice though if you go to Old Town DO NOT eat at Annabells. It was pretty bad. Besides that we had a great time. We are going back in August. Saturday night Mike and Chee spent the night with us and we had a good visit with them. Today I went to the dentist. That was fun too! NOT!

Well I hope everyone is doing well. I need to do the dishes and go to bed, I get to spend tomorrow with my grandbabies!

Well, DANG Elizabeth!  I coulda have joined you in Old Town!  LOL  Soooo, pick up the phone and call me in August!! ;-)  I can find a Red Hat ;-)  Great job on the purse...don't ya just love that store? ;-)  Too bad they aren't going to carry  the coats anymore. I bought 3 of them!
Have fun with the grandbabies..they grow up soo fast.

That is why they did not have many coats. I love my purse! It is patch work. My DIL says it is very retro. I will let you  know when we are going  in August. You don't have to wear a red hat. I just had Devan today. We had so much fun. She went to the doctor with me. She got upset when they took my BP. She told the nurse, "NO, no, no." I told her that grandma was ok. We went to the Mall and the grocery store. We had a very nice day.

Congrats Nancy I knew you could do it!!

Afternoon Lu, Barb and all to follow ;-)  My weekend was realllll laid back...hubby is still down with head cold, but getting better at last.  We had hoped to go to the rail road museum on Saturday but between the weather and cold symptoms, we decided it was best to just stay home and let him sleep.

I just finished my 3rd session with Cathy at OH Support Group Leadership training....I'm now a Bona Fide OH Support Group Leader!!! Whoaaaa Whooooo!!!!!  Not sure what direction I will take...OH on line group or physical support group somewhere in Sacramento.  Or maybe just find an existing group that I can act as 'backup' leader.  The facilitator of my Monday nite group and I are planning to go to Bellvue WA for the OH conference in July...that should be a hoot. She and I get together..and time just flies by!  Well, we shall see where this adventure takes me...I want to 'pay-forward' what I have learned...and stay accountable in this journey...I WILL continue to be a success and keep the weight off!

My boss has been so supportative during my entire journey..from start to present..including letting me use company time to do the teleconference calls while at work.  Having a boss you not only respect but LIKE, too..what a difference it makes coming to work every day ;-)

Well, time to go back to work...half my day is already over...the sun is shining and rain isn't due bac****il Thursday. Today is a 'Good' day...as Chief Dan George would say ^_^ (Little Big Man...Dustin Hoffman and Chief Dan George)
