Good Morning Calif.........

So DD is home and she is doing great. She still IV antibiotic's that she has to set up and being on every 12 hours. I am shocked that she can do it by herself. I watch just to make sure, but since I will be at work today, I made sure she done it right. She had a chance to have a visiting nurse, but she didn't want that. What every!!

I had my 3rd Spanish class last night, and still feel lost. I am taking my home work to work today to see if someone can help me to understand it. The teacher is teaching us words, but not how to use them in sentences. I hope he gets to that soon. I thought we would be learning things like. What is your name? How much is that dress? Where is the bathroom? ....You know stuff you would need. I can ask for tuna (atun) but not where is the bathroom. LOL Or how to tell the differents between male and female,,,,,,,I guess I will have to make a guess and hope for the best....but I can order atun LOL

Have you heard about the young man who had sex out of wedlock and was kicked off the basketball team??? Guess that give new meaning to "keep it in your pants" I think he might even been kicked out of school. They just said her would have to re-alppy for classes. UGH!!! I wish they set the same rule to pro's who are married, if they have sex with someone other then there wife.....POOF!! they are off the team.  LOL

OK so what do you have planned for the weekend? I am going to sleep in tomorrow until at least noon and then I will take a nap about 1 and go to bed at 8. Can you see how sleepy I am? And I was in bed early last night, (10:30) I also took a nap yesterday. Or, I laid in bed for a few hours and watched TV. so I guess I just rested.

Morning Lu and Cali,

Glad it is Friday too!!  This week has been a monster!  My staff and others are having a cow because of the director.  She should be in retirement mode, but instead turn things up a notch!!  Oh well at least I am working (for another two weeks anyway).  They signed a continuing resolution until the 18th.  The staff is having a hard time with this all, not sure if they will be working or car to work because of all the drama around the budget. 

Today DH comes home he had to travel for work.  Ms V and I read The Hunchback of Noter Dame last night.  I was tired and thought it would never end.  She was happy and that is all that mattered.  DH usually reads to her at night (I take the morning shift if you know what I mean).

Lu, so glad to hear DD is home and doing better.  You get that much deserved sleep tomorrow OK?

I have this darn cough thingy, (thank you Ron) and it's wearing me down but I'm fighting it.  My poor step-Mom got sick when she came to our house (stomach flu) and now she has this cough thing too.  Today I will be leaving work early to drive to SF to take her to the Dr, being 81, she really should be seen and she doesn't drive.  So off I go.

Tonight I am going to meet some former co-workers for dinner.  We haven't seen each other for about 4 years so I am excited about that.

This weekend no plans!!!  I LOVE weekends like that but I'm going to use my time to get caught up on a couple of the icky chores like cleaning the house and doing laundry.

Afternoon Lu and fellow Cali peeps
Just finished my first of 3 training session (phone) with Cathy of OH for group support leader. Very interesting stuff...but a lot of stuff to digest.  Training sessions 2 & 3 on Monday and Tuesday respectfully.  It's really nice to have my boss support me in this endeavor...told him I needed the extra lunch time and he was all behind it.   Now I just need to get a budget report to him by days end...kind of a quid pro quo thingy LOL

Also just finished my lunch..man, do I want to drink something!!!  Must be the salt in the smoked ham and cream cheese :-( Oh well, only 20more minutes LOL   Nothing planned for the weekend...hubby still trying to survive his yucky head cold. He's got no appetite so that works for me! LOL  I'm pretty much staying with the protein and not much else...trying to convince this ole body it really is ok to let loose of a few fat lbs!

Suppose to have more rain by Saturday nite but day should be nice.  Maybe I'll get out and mow the lawns before they get soaked again...electric lawn mowers don't like water ;-)

I am glad DD is home and doing good. I hope you get to sleep until noon tomorrow.

Dolores good to hear you will be working 2 more weeks. I know it is very stressful not knowing what is going to happen.

Barb, I hope you are feeling better soon. I hope  your MIL is too. My friends son just got over the influenza. The doctor told her it was not the regular flu but the influenza. He was sick for a week. Poor kid they were on break from school that week too.

Nancy, you are lucky to have such a supportive boss. I hope you DH feels better too.

We are all doing fine here in Merced. I spent the day with my grandbabies today. We took a long walk and went to McDonald's for lunch. I can eat the yogurt parfait there. Then we played all afternoon. I am pretty tired now too. That Devan refused to take a nap today so she was getting cranky by the time Lisa got home.

Tomorrow my Red Hat friends and I are riding the train to Sacrament and going to lunch and shopping in Old Town. We should have a lot of fun. We all love to shop and to eat out too. We are going to check out the leather store you told me about Nancy.
