Need some advice on vits
Greetings,
I am two years post op and my labs are perfect since my surgery. Since day 1, I have never ordered by vitamins due to cost and convenience, which was actually my surgeon's suggestion at UCSF. Here is what I take...
1 Centrum chewable multi vitamin = Walmart or Walgreens
4 Citrical Petities= Walmart or Walgreens
1 & 2 Vitamin D= Costco due to low D count I take 2 every other day.
1 Vitamin B-12 = Walmart or Walgreens
1 Iron = Walmart or Walgreens
1 Biotin = Walmart or Walgreens
1 Chewable vitamin C= Walmart or Walgreens
Hope this helps.

Not helping what? You don't have any lab numbers listed in your post, nor any description of any issues you are having. Generally you need twice the RDA of all vitamins, except higher levels of B12 and D. You need to take D3 to get D levels around 80-90, and you'll likely need 50K IU dry D3 several times a week to get to these numbers. As you get further out from surgery, some vitamins need to be increased. That's why written lab results are important to retain from previous lab results. Calcium citrate at 600mg per dose (usually 2 caps or pills) for a total of 1800mg daily are recommended too. You may need other supplements. Avoid any vitamins like D3, A, E, etc. that are packed in an oil filled softgel. DAVE
