I received my official letter from Pacific Bariatric today with my surgery date. I also had to schedule my pre-op appt which is March 18th. It's oh so real now .  I will officially start on Monday blogging the steps I will be taking to get ready for surgery and there after. There are so many things to start on. One is cleaning out my cabinets in the kitchen and cleaning my house from top to bottom
If any of you have comments on what I need to purchase for the hospital and at home after surgery, please let me know.
Your input is so appreciated.

Thanks.
Kristi

Congratulations on getting your surgery date, how exciting!  I'm not familiar w/Pacific Bariatric's protocol but I was in the Kaiser hospital just over nite so I didn't need to take much...just loose clothing to wear home, toletries (sp) and comfortable slip on shoes.

Will be watching for you so we can all move down on the Loser's Bench! Yehhhh ^_^

Request an abdominal binder at the hospital.  It was the only thing that helped me walk and sleep.  I slept in a recliner for atleast a week after surgery.
Congrats and good luck!

Congrats on your surgery date, that is super exciting.

I had my surgery at UCSF and was in 2 nites, as others have said pack light, you won't need a lot.  My helpful tip, if you have an iPod bring it and wear it into surgery.  Calms the nerves and my nurse had put it back on my ears in recovery.  My iPod was set on alphabetically sort, so I went in to surgery hearing Bette Midler and came out listening to Andrea Boccelli!  It was really SO helpful.

Congrats again,
Hugs,
Barb

I just want to say congrats on your surgery. I had Dr. Taller and he is amazing. He helped me out so much during hard times. You will get an adominal binder after surgery. Just remember to walk and sip and if you feel up to it visit the roof. The view is nice and so is the fresh air. Good luck!!
