Hi All,
I just found this Cali Forum. Wish I had seen it before. Better late then never. I got my surgery date today ( March 21) with Pacific Bariatric. Of course I am excited but was hoping for an earlier date. I put myself on the cancelation list in hopes that an earlier date will happen.
Any of you gone through Pacific Bariatric and had Dr. Taller?

Please let me know your experience if so.

Thanks.

I went through Pacific Bariatric and had Dr Taller for my surgeon.    He is a great doctor and listen to me.   I actually didn't meet him until the day of my surgery but I trusted him from other on the board whom had him.

I get to see him next week for my 3 month follow up.

Congrats on the surgery date.

Thank you so much for your response. Please if you are able keep me informed on your progress and I will do the same. I am going to send you a friend request. If your okay with this, please except.  I am not really discussing my surgery plans with many and it would be great to have some friends who can relate to my journey. I know I will have so many questions that I am sure you will have answers to.

Thanks again.

I just tried to send you a friend request but the site could not find you. Maybe you have made your profile private. If you want you can send me a friend request and I will accept. If not, I totally understand.

Have a great day.

 Hi,

I am having gastric bypass with Dr.Taller on Wednesday, February 2nd,  My husband is having a VSG with Dr.Taller on Monday, January 31st.  We were able to sit and talk with him for about an hour.  He was really great and answered all of our questions.  he brought out diagrams and surgical tools to demonstrate and show how small he makes the pouch.  I think you will really like him.  I am really nervous because my surgery is coming up.  Its hard having to be out in San Diego since it is like 2 hours from where I live, but i really feel like I am getting a great surgeon and a center of excellence.  If you have any questions feel free to ask.  My husband and I are thinking of doing a video blog on Youtube to document our progress.  Feel Free to add me as a friend.  We can encourage each other along the way.  I just more nervous about the pain and the hospital experience.

Ahill455 you are doing great with your weight loss.  May I ask how long you stayed in the hospital? The surgical coordinator told me I would probably stay 4 days.  My surgery is at 7:30 in the morning on Wednesday, February 2nd.  I was hoping to be discharged by Friday.  I really don't want to be in the hospital more than 3 days.  Is the floor an entire bariatric floor?  How are the nurses?  DId you get to drink anything while in the hospital?  I also have one last question when I met with Dr.Taller I weighed 242 in November and was continuing to lose.  I currently weigh 245 or 246.  I know it says on some of the documents not to gain any weight.  Do they weigh you a your pre-op appointment the day before surgery?  Also do you think they would possibly cancel surgery for this?  He never told me anything about this during my appointment with him.  Sorry for all the questions.
Thank you :)
