Anyone have a WLS friendly PCP Kaiser Woodland Hills or Simi?

So I went to my new PCP on Friday who was recommended by the Baratrics Dept at Woodland Hills because he was a "WLS friendly" doc. YEAH RIGHT. I get there and as soon as I bring up my the removal of my band and a revision he says I am completely against any time of WLS. He said all obese people need to do is to diet and exercise. He did refer me to the Baratrics Dept because I threw a fit but I want someone who is going to support me. I have to go back in two weeks to have him review my labs but I do not want him for my PCP and would like to get suggestions for a different PCP.

I have kasier and have found out that they don't have any drs that just deal with wls patients. Kasier in Downey area is trying to get some wls pcp drs now but its taking a long time.

I have Kaiser and I am in the Lancaster/Palmdale area. That is about a 50 minute drive from where you are. I have a VERY WLS friendly PCP...I am wondering if you can speak to your health Education dept and get some insight from them as to what Doctors are WLS friendly? Just a thought. I got very lucky with mine. I was the one that wanted no part of WLS and my PCP suggested it to me! If that does not work, PM me and I can give you the number to the case manager for bariatrics up in my area and maybe she can tell you of some Bariatric friendly PCP in your area......
