Good Morning Calif

WOW this week is still not over. I have had only one day off, and that was yesterday. And I am beat. I work the next few days, Off sunday, work monday, then back to my normal days. So I am off Tuesday, Wednesday and Thrusday. I can't wait for that break. I plan on SLEEPING!!!

So what are your plans for welcoming in the new year? What are you doing for 1/1/11??? I get to work and I am sure we will be busy. Should make for a fun day.

Let me be the first to say Happy New Year to one and all. Please be safe and be aware, you might not have been drinking, but other have been, please be aware of them. Triple A has a free tow tonight if you have had one to many. I can't remember the number, but you should find it and keep it handy, you might not need it, but maybe some one you love will.

Happy New Year all

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

So when are you going to stop working so much overtime? I bet you are tired!

Well tonight we are going to our friends house for New Years Eve. We always spend New Years Eve there. We will have a good time. My DH is going to leave early so he can come home and go to bed because he is getting up early to go hunting on New Years Day. So at midnight I will have to kiss myself. LOL

Well I will agree with Lu, everyone be careful tonight. There will be a lot of crazy people on the roads tonight.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Happy New Years to all.  Tonight not much planned but to stay home, probably toast in the New Year with a sip of sparkling cider and go to bed!  LOL  It's amatuer night and we stay off the roads.  Not much planned for tomorrow either.

I wish everyone a safe, happy and healthy New Year.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning Everyone & HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well, we normally don't do anything on New Years.  We stay home and wait for a call from our kids to pick them up because they have been drinking.  Our daughter is having a get together here tonight so this is one less worry for us.  All of her friends are welcome to spend the night if they have had too much to drink or we can drive them home.  We have always been the responsible parents of all our kids friends.   Our son and his GF are going out someplace, so we may still get a phone call.  That's what we are here for.

Thinking about going to lunch or dinner, but right now I just want to take Christmas down, and get my house back in order so that I can relax tomorrow before going back to work because I am crazy busy and the owners are leaving in a week or so for a 3 week Caribbean cruise.

Well, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, BE SAFE AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Time for me to get back on track with the exercise.

Good Morning Lu and all of Cali,

WE ARE HOME!!!  HOORAY.  So only 3 days later then originally planned we finally got out of the New England Snow Storm of 2010 in time to ring in the New Year in sunny and ever so much warmer California.

All in all it was a good trip and a nice Christmas visiting Mike's mom back in MA.  We just didn't expect to get snowed in.  As the snow started falling on Sunday, we called the airline and the best they could give us as a return was for the following Thursday.  At that point we decided to wait and see how much snow there would be because changing the tickets was going to cost us additional money.  Well we woke up Monday morning and we couldn't even open the front door. Boston's Logan airport was closed. We called the airline and they were now more than happy to change our tickets at no charge but still couldn't get us out until Thursday.  So an extra 3 days was added on to our vacation.  Let me just say, it is good to be home and it was great sleeping in our own bed last night.  We didn't get home in the house though until almost 1AM but we did get home.

No big plans for us for tonight.  We are going over to a friend's house to ring in the new year, assuming Mike and I can stay up long enough to do that.  I'm ready to go back to sleep. A little nap before I start unpacking and getting ready for tonight.

Hope everyone has a very safe and Happy New Year.  Be careful if you are going out anywhere.  Crazy drunk drivers will be on the road tonight.  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

Welcome home! I am glad you got to stay at your MIL's house. We saw pictures on the news of people sleeping in the airports for days. I am happy that we live in California too, I am not a snow person. Enjoy tonight.

Happy New Year Lu and Cali gang!
Where has the year gone?  I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and tonight finds you safe, looking forward to a new year of opportunities.

DH is ringing in the new year with a brand new knee and recovering from a severly scratched cornea.  I've been on vacation since the day before Christmas...I will be duly rested to begin the new year of work on Monday. LOL We're not doing/going anywhere tonight...being sure the dogs are inside and the cat on my lap...while my crazy neighbors act exactly that way...CRAZY!

Be safe everyone....and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Hugs
