Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

So sorry to hear your post got wiped out, that's so maddening.

Our Christmas was wonderful and we spent it with family and our close neighbors.  In the morning we did Santa's gifts with our Grandson and then we went to SF to pick up my Step Mom.  On the way home we stopped off and visited with Ron's Dad who is in long term care.  There was 8 of us in his room and I think he was deeply touched.  Then it was back home to do round 3 of presents and then brought our dinner over to our neighbors and had one big feast!

It's now quiet in our house and we will be de-Christmasing today and tomorrow while it's raining.  No plans for New Year's Eve.  It tends to be amatuer night on the roads so we'll stay put.  Probably toast the New Year and go to bed!

Hope everyone has a fantstic New Year and week leading up to it.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning Lu, Barb, and Cali Friends,

My Christmas was great. We had our family here in the morning. I made breakfast, the grandkids had fun opening their gifts, the kids and DIL's liked their gifts and so did we. For dinner we went to Lisa's parents house and had a wonderful time. I could not have asked for a better Christmas.

The day after Christmas I went with Chee and Mike to Fresno to the Hmong New Year. I had a lot of fun and learned much about her culture. I met her parents and they are very nice people. They are a lot older than we are. Her Mother would point things like clothing and hats that people were wearing and explain to me what they meant and where they were from. It was very interesting.

Today Lisa and I are going to Modesto to do some after Christmas shopping.

Barb I am glad you had a nice Christmas and got to spend it with your grandson. Grandkids are so much fun.

Lu, how was your Christmas. I get so mad when I have written a post and it disappears.

Well I hope everyone has a great day and I can't wait to hear about your Christmas!

Good morning Lu and Cali,

finally getting a moment to myself.  This has been a very trying week to say the least. Took my dad to the hospital yesterday and they think it is the start of pneumonia.  So they took ex-rays and gave him antibiotics, we have to take him back on Thursday.  Glad I am here to relieve some of the stress my mom is feeling.  She is not doing too well herself!  We are just trying to get through the funeral and all of the commotion that goes along with it.  We are expecting 200+ for lunch after the service and still have lots to do.

Dolores,

When it rains it pours! I hope your parents are feeling better. I also hope you can get some rest so you don't end up sick. You and your family are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Elizabeth, this has been some vacation (not)!  I would just like to get back to some sense of normalcy.
