Is anyone having/Had Surgery with Dr. Tanaka?

I know he is a great surgeon and he was highly recommeneded to me. I am just wondering if people had a long wait because they were assigned to him? I just got off the phone with Pacific Baractric and when I went to Orentation they said no Problem in Dec.. Then I went to the pre-op and the dr. Said.. expect it around March.. Now they are saying as many are posting it wont be till some time April or later?? I feel Very discouraged because like most people I just want it over with. Sorry to Vent Just curious..

I know it can be extremely frustrating, but to have a great surgeon is really important. It's better to wait a couple months than take a less skilled surgeon just to get it over with. I am seriously the most impatient person, but i'd wait it out!

I heard he was a great doctor and know a couple people who had him as there surgeon.  I didn't have him, I had Taller and he is great also.   I waited from July pre op appt to Oct, my date of surgery. 

I knew Kaiser was overwhelming them with people, so my main concern was they were not over booking themselves, to make the dollar.  They to only a couple a day and I was happy with that.  Don't want them to start making mistakes.   Your  time will come fast.   Then you can enjoy the sleeve journey.   I am liking it so far.

I applogize I was just fustrated and after reading both of you gal's replys I know you are right and everything has its time. I appreciate you taking out the time to post your thoughts they were very calming and reassuring..     Its nice to know I am not being ignored.. or trivial.

I was just down in the office last wednesday and heard the office staff talking about making appointments for middle of april. 

I had Dr Zorn, he was a great surgeon and i have had no problems at all. I had my first vist with Zorn on Aug 2nd and was called in the middle of oct with a date for surgery on dec 8th. Zorn told me last week that kasier is sending alot of patients to them now because kaiser doesnt have enough surgeons to cover everyone that wants to have the wls now.

I had my pre -op  Nov 17 with Dr Rumsey got my surgery date April 4. My very close friend who I met in class had her pre-op Nov 11 with Dr Tanaka and has her surgery scheduled on April 6. I hope this helps you out.. Oh yeah we both were notified by mail and the had to call to set up our day before surgery test and stuff. I hope you get your date soon. Keep me posted sounds like we are going to have close dates.

I have Kaiser and I was set to go with Pac Bar and when I found out the wait was so long I researched other surgeons and found Dr. Billy in Ventura. I was able to have my Consult with him Nov 3oth and I had my surgery Dec 11th..2 weeks later. I was originally scheduled for beginning nov for consult and Mid Nov surgery but I get messed out of that due to Kaiser sending so many to him as well...Pac Bar is a great facility from the research I have done and I know several that have gone there. I just wanted sooner so I did more research and found another doc. I could not be more happy with my choice to go to Ventura. I know Dr. Billy is currently booking for Feb Consults and March/April surgeries as well.....I wish you the best of luck!!!!!
