Holidays are here! How are you dealing with it?

Food is about at every corner! Here in the office, there's tons of goodies, pastries, foods of all kinds, etc.

I'm approaching 5 years and at this time, I can EAT almost everything on earth. I've been pretty good about staying away from all the holiday treats. Yes I'll have a bite here and there and I think I've been in control on how much I'm consuming....

How about you? How are you dealing with it?

Exercise! My will power to go to the gym is stronger than my will power to completely resist the goodies! But I'm also only eating small quanitites of really good treats - not on little nasty candies and cookies that I regret eating.

And water, lots of water. I'm drinking all day long - helps with the mental issues mostly about wanting to snack. I have lots of different flavored water and sparkly water on my desk. Fortunately, i'm still pre-op so I can drink all this

I just don't keep it in the house. Luckily am retired and don't have to worry about having it around all the time. I know it was hard when I did so you guys have all my respect.

I have CONSCIOUSLY eaten everything under the sun since October 18th.  I decided I wanted to "enjoy" the holidays and as such I have.  Yes I've gained and YES I'm prepared to do everything in my power to not have that gain remain.

Goodbye 2010, hello 2011.
