Me
Well I was up a 4 this morning. I am trying to choke down some tea and my vitamins. Did not do real well with my water and protein yesterday, but it was just not a good day. I have to stay strong for my parents and sister. There is lots to do, Christmas will be a little late I think. I left everything at home and I am here in SB with my parents. At least Ms V will have her spanking new bike waiting for her when we get home after Christmas! She will think Santa deliver it to the wrong place!
reached goal ~ its all about maintaining now!
Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,
I have no idea that that might mean Lu, but it might be a phrase that was popular at one time.
I played my sax all day on Saturday for San Jose Saxophone Christmas. So much fun we had. I am on vacation but do have to go to work for a couple of hours today only. I will be schlepping in there in my jeans and turtleneck and my comfy boots!
I hope everyone has a great day and please keep D and her family in thoughts and prayers this week for the tragic senseless loss of her nephew.
Hugs and ho ho ho's
Barb
Lunch was nice yesterday and yes Mike was able to help Tito out. Alot of paperwork to be gotten and reviewed and filled out, but Mike will be able to assist him with all of that. I thought it was divorce papers, but the kids never got married so it's just about child support and custody. So not as difficult as an actual divorce because it's pretty straight forward as to child support. Just lots of paperwork.
We are still going to spend the holidays with his family and that should be nice. I'm looking forward to it. Got all my shopping done and almost all wrapped. Will fini**** all up tonight.
OK, must get busy. Last day at work and soooooo much to get done. Hope everyone has a great, dry and safe Monday.
Steph
Well I have really had a busy month so far. I have had fun though. I went to see the Rockette's last week with my Red Hat group. It was so good. You can really tell you are watching professionals. I love stuff like that. It was like watching one of the variety shows that we used to watch on TV when I was growing up. It lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes and the last 30 minutes was the story of Jesus' birth. I told my friend that they were not being politically correct. Which we just loved by the way. I having been watching the kids 3 days a week this month. Lisa is off this week and next week for Christmas Vacation. I know that is not what they call it any more but as you know I don't like being politically correct. Sunday I had some Grandma and me time with my little Devan. Ryan and Lisa went to a birthday party. I had so much fun with her. We played tea! She loves to play having a tea party. We also watched Beauty and the Beast. She is 20 months old so we did no****ch the entire thing all the way through just pieces of it.
Let's see, I also sort of got a new DIL last week. Sort of you may be thinking. As you know Mike and Chee became engaged one week ago today. Chee's father wanted to talk to Mike with an translator present. They are Hmong, from Laos. In their culture the groom has to pay a dowry for his bride. Mike knew this when he proposed to Chee. Well last Tuesday they had their talk and worked out all the details of the dowry and when they were finished talking Chee's father told Mike, "You now have a Hmong wife." In their culture once the dowry is settle you are considered married. They do plan on making it legal though. They want to get the cultural things out of the way and then start planning an American wedding. We already considered Chee a part of our family though. At first I felt left out but Chee was not even in the room when her father told Mike they were now married in Hmong Culture.
So that is what is new for me.
