Greetings all,

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. I am still in the Hospital after my surgery on Friday. Surgeon is taking all the precautions that are needed becuase of having to do 2 procedures at one time so I am appreciative of that.........I JUST WANT TO GO HOME LOL !!! Sorry had to do that.

Anyway, I am doing good with no major complications so far. I am finally on clear liquids and can handle them very well. Only made the mistake once of eating to much by 1 oz and it reminded me again that "hey bozo you started over again" LOL

Anyway just wanted to update you all............Have a great day

Great News Rick,

Just take it slow, trust me don't pu**** your body will let you know real fast if you don't take it easy. I am almost 2 years out, and even though I can eat more, if I take one more bite, after my body say's don't ----It is both painful & messy.

Cheers !

I am glad you are going home. I hate being in the hospital. Now when you get home remember you are recovering from major surgery and take it easy. I was wondering did you click your heels together this morning and say I want to go home! LOL

Congrats on going home! I hate being in the hospital, you get no rest and they always poking you for one lab test or another, remember when you get home to sip sip sip and walk!!! and if your doctor sent you home with one use your breathing spirometer!! Take care and take it easy!

Good good!!  You'll probably sleep better at home.  Just like RNY...Sleep whenever and whereever you can.  Also like RNY...Boring stuff for the next few weeks.  You'll be climbing the walls with bordom...

Thanks everyone for the support and well wishes. I did make it home and am taking it real easy. I just like being in my own bed and be on my own schedule and NOT being woke up cple hours for something.

I remember with my first surgery about the importance of taking it easy and all the protocol that needs to be followed. Only thing different this time is that they left the G-Tube in as a precaution just in case something goes wrong (god forbid) with the reversal.

So steady as she goes and taking it very easy

Have a great day everyone.................Rick
