Good Morning Calif.....

Its early monday morning and once again, I am being helding hostage in my room. I still have one of my nephews staying over, and he is sleeping in the living room. I did go out and get coffee and I didn't care if I woke him. I am the one that is working today, not him and I NEED my coffee.

So what did you do over the weekend? Did you have a long weekend like me? I was for 4 days.

I ended up stay home on Thursday or I guess that should be ALL WEEKEND. I ended up with a bad throat agian. But when I went to see the doctor AGAIN, he told me that its my allergies and gave me some thing to take at night. It seems to be helping as my throat is not as bad as it had been. But I have only been taking them for 3 nights now. But it seems to come and go, so I will give it a few more days before I smile about it.

How was you Turkey Day. Since I stayed home, I didn't have Turkey day, but the girl accross the street brought me a dinner planter. That was few kind of her. I took the dogs outside earlier in the day, and she asked what I was doing, when I told I was not feeling good, so I wouldn't being having any turkey dinner, she brought me some. The problem is, they are all kinda of not clean, when you walk pass their house, you can smell it and well, I don't know them all that great. I expect the food, thanked her for her kindness and waiting a few hours before placing it all in the trush. But in truth, at that what the day is about? Yap!

Today is my day off but I have agreed to cover someone, like 6 weeks ago. Good thing I had the pass four days off, cuz I don't want to go in. LOL. But a promiss is a promiss. Right?

OK time to get moving and start my day. I wish you all a great day. Be safe in all you do.

Morning Lu and Cali,

I had a great time seeing my folks down south.  Ms V did not want to come home. she was "MAD".  It was also very nice to see all of my cousins (I just wi**** was for a happy occasion not for a funeral).  But in two weeks I think I am going back they are having a celebration of life for my uncle.  He would have really enjoyed that (he loved to party and see people enjoying themselves).

We got home last night at 9, it was a long day.  Only stopped twice once to eat lunch and then dinner and gas up the car.  Ms V watched several DVDs and was OK with that but still not happy about leaving brother, cousins and grandpa!!

Hope you all have a great Monday.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu, hope you are feeling better and work goes by quickly for you.

I too had a 4 day weekend and sure enjoyed each day of it.  I got to spend 2 of the 4 days with my daughter and grandson which was so much fun.  They came over on Sat and helped decorate the house and it was great fun to see a 3 year old enjoy Christmas.

Lots of shopping done this weekend too, getting ready for the 3 parties we are hosting this season.  We love to have everyone over as it makes it that more special.  I will work 4 days this week and have a 3 day weekend in preparation for our Nor Cal Loser's Potluck on Sat.  Yahoo, it will be so much fun.

Back to work today and trying to finish Christmas shopping.  That's about it for my neck of the woods.

Hugs,
Barb

Lu, why didn't you call me on Thursday.  I would have come and got you and then taken you home again.  Now I'm all upset.  Don't do that again.  Promise me that.  I know you weren't feeling well, but heck I never feel ok.  We could have felt crappy together and enjoyed some time with the "fellas".

Anyway, Turkey Day was very nice.  Made a couple of side dishes and Mike, my son and I went over to our friend's house.  They smoked the turkey in their new smoker and OMG it was so delicious.  Frankly I'm not a fan of smoked turkey, but this was to die for.  I don't ever want turkey done anyother way again.  It was moist and flavorful.  It was just fabulous.  Everyone was so stuffed after dinner that no one could eat dessert.  Even my skinny son couldn't.  So we packed up some pumpkin pie for him and he took that home for a snack for the next day.  Unfortunately he had to work on Friday so he needed to head on home right after dinner.  Everyone else including us left for home by about 8:15.  All plumped up and ready for bed.

Friday I did absolutely nothing and it was great.  I didn't go to one store as I just refuse to join in on the hysteria of people thinking this is the only day to get a bargain.  There will be plenty of bargains between now and Christmas and alot better bargains after Christmas.  Mike and I want/need a new TV for the living room and will wait until the January sales.

Not much going on with us for the rest of the weekend either.  Oh we did go out Saturday night and went to see Harry Potter.  Ummmm....it was ok.  It was very dark and I think somewhat frightening for younger children and they could have made the film much better by going for an R rating and making it even darker and totally avoiding the under 17 group.  Either that or not made it as it was and played to the younger audience.  The way it came out it was just kind of there.  And then of course there is the ending, which I certainly will not divulge, but you were left there with...ok...what?...um hello?  I know it is a two part movie and they made that clear from the beginning.  I haven't read the books but from what my son said, the last book is over 700 pages and there is no way they could have made it into one movie.  Oh well, guess I'll have to go see part 2 now.  LOL

Yesterday we took a friend's sister home to Cerritos and then went and had lunch with my son.  It was a nice day.  We even went walking around the mall in Brea for a while.  Didn't do any shopping, as I said before, but got in some good walking.  We do like to window shop and the mall is the perfect place to do it.  And because we got there just when it was opening, it wasn't very crowded so it was a plesant walk.

And now it's back to the real world and work.  Oh joy.  LOL  Wow I could so become a bum or be retired.  Either would work for me.  My little Snowball is getting his "manhood" snipped away today and none too soon.  My arms couldn't take much more of him thinking I was the love of his life.  Use your imagination and you'll understand.  And on that note it's time to get busy and get the day started.  Hope everyone has a great Monday.

I am glad you are feeling better Lu. I totally understand your throwing away the dinner but it was nice of your neighbor to think of you.

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend. We did too. Mike and Chee came Wednesday. We got pizza and a Baskin Robbins cake to celebrate Mike's 28th birthday. I can't believe my baby is that old. Thursday we went to Chris and Lisa's for dinner and spent the afternoon. Her family was there as well. It was a great afternoon. Mike was a little under the weather the weekend so Friday he slept a lot. Chee and I went with Chris, Lisa, and the kids to see Tangled. It was so cute. The kids enjoyed it too. Devan would just laugh and laugh and then people would laugh at her laughing! I did do a little shopping on Sunday afternoon. It was not too bad at that time. Mike and Chee went home Sunday morning. Today I spent with Ryan and Devan. I told Ryan I was really sleepy and needed to rest and he needed to help me so he feel right asleep and I got a nap too, while Devan was napping.

Tomorrow is a day of rest.

I almost forgot, we decided to buy an artifical tree this year and yesterday Ryan came over and helped me decorate it. We had so much fun.
