Anybody near Covina interested in a meet-up?

I've been eyeing the California boards waiting for someone to set-up something near me..but nothing..so I thought maybe I could just ask?

It'd be nice to get to know my neighbors!

I'm thinking something easy, though, like coffee or happy hour at the BJ's in West Covina..or even happy hour at Yard House in Monrovia, I think that's where it's at? 

Since the Holidays are coming up in no time, gotta buckle up the wallet..but thought I'd just throw the idea out there.

Okay! Sounds good! I was thinking we could all get together anytime during the week of Dec. 5-11th? That way we don't run into Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday.

BJ's works for me.  I think their happy hour is from 4-6pm or 4-7pm?  Just have to set a date/time that works for everybody else coming! 

I don't work or anything, so I can do anytimes or days.

First of all Congrads and how wonderfully exciting to read about your pregnancy. I would be happy to attend any within the San Gabriel Valley. I really would like to bond with fellow  WLS patients because personally I do not know any who can relate to concerns and support.

I know what you mean about relating with people about the surgery.  Not alot of people know what I'm talking about or really care to listen.  That's why I thought it'd be great to get together with local wls -ers. 

i'm hoping we could make it a habit and it'd be like our own local support group. [smile]

I see there's a few people near by that are interested, and I would really like to schedule it so we can ALL make it.  So I'm throwing out a window for the week of Dec. 4th - 11th.  We should pick a time and day we can all make it.

sounds good to me but I can't do it after the 8Th as on the 9Th I'll be going to San Diego for my pre op and then surgery on the 10Th

Hi!  My prenatal care is out in your area!  My doc's located in Arcadia..but it's right there where the restaurant row is!  I'll be delivering in 6 months at Methodist hospital across from the racetracks!
