wow it's been over a year since I have been in here, my life is so busy I have little or no time at all/. You would think that with all the running I do I would be better. My weight loss STOPPED at a scretching hault earlier this year. No idea why, nothing has changed, but still nothing, well wait, I gained 8 pounds, I loose 8 pounds I gain, loose, its visicous. My diet hasn't really changed, I am eating more vegis, which I have missed horribly, I try hard to keep up on protien, food and additives, and my vits. and I exercise almost every day. We joined the Y and I do water areobics 3x's a week, so what the hell happened. I have not seen my surgeon since the spring, I was on a work assignment for my summer check and they have never called me back to do follow ups. I have called 2x, but now I just don't want to go for fear of 1, him being mad at me for not loosing any more and 2 me being embarrassed over it.  Maybe this new exercise regim will kick my weight loss back in, circut training 3 days a week, water areobics 3, and rest 2. I guess we will just have to wait and see.....

Hang in there and you really need to call your doctor. He will probably give you great advice or find out why you are not losing.

Simple carbs and grazing...I'm guilty of those...Are you?

When it comes to your health there is no room for 1.  Letting your FEAR of your doctor being upset stop you from seeing him and 2. For being embarassed.  It is what it is and it's often OUR inaction that lead to our obesity so NOW it's time to ACT.

Since you say everything is the same do you track/weigh/measure your food or have ever?  Sometimes if we just eyeball our eyes change and say and extra 20 calories here and there adds up.  Also remember that if you are say getting in 1000 calories with x exerices forever and you've LOST weight it's time to REDUCE those calories as you don't physically need as much and also the saying goes work HARDER not necessarily longer.  If you are in the water maybe get those glvoes for your hands that make water movement MORE resistent etc.  If you are at 3.0mph on the treadmill or maching UP the intensity.

And finally SET the appointment and GO to the doctor and get your labs etc.  Keeping your head in the sand only keeps you buried.

I have appointments with my regular Dr but still can't get ahold of my Surgeon, thats bugging me. I am going in tomorrow morning for my labs, and have a app next week with the gp. and as for carbs, potatoes are the only thing I can tolerate, breads make me feel quesy, rice and pasta make me feel so bloated I can't stand myself. pretty much all I eat is protien (mainly turkey and chicken, with a little beef) For some reason I can't eat ground beef, it makes me very ill. I eat some vegies, cooked, and salads. Thats about it. I am doing a diary again, and started to follow the 2 month post op diet. So we'll see what happens.
Thanks for all the advice, maybe its just a plateau and It will break with the new routine.
