Positive Benefit of Weight Loss Surgery

I am 2 years out (yes, my surgerversary  came and when and I totally forgot it September 8th!) and have been loving life.

One of the best benefits has been how physically fit I have become.  I don't work out on a regular basis but I do walk a lot and do a lot of manual labor with my hubby.

On Sunday we went out to get firewood.  The big boys ran the chainsaws (3) and the 2 medium boys brought the rounds to the truck and I stacked it all in the truck.  We loaded 2 trucks like that and then reversed the process once we got home.  I was tired that night, but overall nothing hurt really really Oh-My-God-Where's-The-Pain-Pills bad.  I realized this yesterday and was once again really glad I had this surgery.  I'm still down 158# and maintaining at 175.

The doc's wanted me to get to 155 but when I was there my hubby told me I looked like an "Emaciated Crack Ho" so I put 20# back on and actually agreed with him.  I'm happy, healthy, looking good and feeling even better!

Just thought I'd share........  I still come by and read the boards once in a while, but haven't posted in a while

That is great!  Congrats and thanks for sharing!  I'm only 6 weeks out and down 20 lbs since surgery (total of 33) and I can already feel the difference walking up stairs or just walking!  It's great!

Congratulations MoMo!  Like you, I get here once or twice a week just to keep up with all the latest but as usual, I'm a dime late and a day short LOL  I've read your antics, uhhhh, I mean your full of life activities...you have been a wonderful example of what this surgery can give us when we committ ourselves to the new life. ^_)^  Hope you'll call me when next you come to Sacramento!
Hugs
