Good Morning Calif.....

Yesterday DD had to go and see her GP doc. He was a bit upset with the discharge aftercare from the hospital. They told DD to not take her medication until she seen him. He keep asking, what where they thinking. So I guess he is going to calling the hospital and see what was going on. They didn't even send him any of her lab work, so he had to draw more blood for get some results. Right now she has to see him every week, because of blood thinners. And she is not able to drive yet, so I hope we are able to get the appointment on my days off. I missed yesterday work to take her to her appointment and also do some running around that she needed to do. All in all it was a long day for her.

Elizabeth..........how is the family doing? I truly hope everyone is feel much better. Its so hard when the babies are sick. They do not understand what is going on. Poor things.

Step............how did you do on the CHOC walk? I have been to Oak Glenn many times I love it up there. The last time I was there, was the weekend before DD ended up in the hospital to begin with back in 2008. Almost 2 years ago.  But any time you want to go again, I be there.

OK group, time to get some coffee in me and start my day. I need a shower to wake up and start feeling like I have some human-ness in me. Dang, I am tried.

glad you are back and see you did well in the marathon.  I wish I could run!  It just makes may boobies hurt ~ even with a good sports bra.

I am off half day today, going to take my MIL to lunch for her birthday!!  Ms V and I made her a cake last night (it had to have chocolate sprinkles of course!).  Do not want to see the other siblings so this was a way to do something nice for her and not punish her because we did not show up for pizza tonight!!  I do not do pizza, nor do I want to see any of the siblings since the big bash!!  Only one helped out the other two were quite late and left early!!  Oh well family!!

We are going to Disney on ice in San Jose tonight, Ms V does not know.  We wanted to surprise her (she has been so good lately).  Oh well better get to work.  Have a great day everyone!

Lu, great to see your morning post, missed you!  So glad to hear DD is out of the hospital too.

We had our last CERT class last night (yeah) and will have our graduation drill on Thurs night.  It's a wonderful program that is free for everyone.  Call your local PD or FD for more info.  I wish they did more classes for folks and more people were involved so if we do have a disaster we'll all be well prepared.  My husband has been doing most of the organizing of our "stuff" for us and is doing a great job.  In the end we'll have our emergency packs at home and in both cars, so we'll be ready.

It's been busy at work with my boss on vacation, but at the same time it's really good for me to reach and grow.  Keeping things moving along and making her proud upon her return.

Well today I am going to get my flu shot, then I have housework to do. I am making a pot of chicken soup today. I cooked the chicken in the crock pot last night and it is falling off the bone. I am putting some squash and carrots in the soup. I hope it turns out good.

Lu- so great to see you posting and that DD is home and doing better.

I'm glad to be off today. It was a busy few days at work, and extremely noisy. Today is my last day at physical therapy. My hip feels a bit better, but will see. I will continue to do my exercises and stretches, and if it still isn't better, then I will go back to the Doctor and see what else she wants to do. Of course it does feel a bit better, because I haven't been working out, which I don't like. I'm back to the gym tonight with my trainer, so I will see how that affects it. I have been busy cleaning out the house. I finally got rid of the junk that was left in my garage when I moved in. Now all I need to do is save some money(or win the lotto) so I can buy some shelving. I want to put it in the garage, so I can get my closets in the house cleaned out. You can never have enough storage. Well, I guess I should get off my ass and get ready for PT. I hope you all have a fabulous day.

Choc Walk was good.  It was cold and damp out though.  Made my bones ache.  But I got through it and that is good.

As for Oak Glen, I'll want to go up a week or so before Thanksgiving to get my apples for pie.  Look at your schedule and let me know when you have off.  I won't be picking them though.  I'll just go to Mom's Farm Stand and they will tell me which apples are best for pie baking this year.

Nothing special today.  Just went to work and now here I am.  Nothing is on TV tonight so I think I'll read for a while before I go to bed.  I'm reading Girl with the Dragon Tatoo right now.  It really seems to be a very good book.  It caught my attention right from the first couple of pages. 

Tomorrow is more work.  Oh to win the lottery would be so nice.  Guess I need to buy a ticket if I'm going to have any chance of that.  Getting closer to the weekend though and that is always good.  Hope everyone had a great day and enjoy yourselves on Thursday.
