OMG, I am doing the Happy Dance right now and Crying tears of joy!!!!!! I just got home from the Doctor and I have been medically cleared for surgery. My paperwork is being sent to the surgeon on Friday morning and by monday I will have a consult appt scheduled with the surgeon. I am so happy and a bit in shock! I could be having surgery within the next 3 weeks I was told. I just need to get my upper GI done and hopefully that will be all..I already had all the other pre op labs done...I feel so many emotions right now. I am happy, nervous, in shock and awe and not sure what to do from here. I just need to remember to breathe.... OMG. I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for being here, it makes me feel good to share and know that I am understood on here.....

Sorry I am new to this board, why are you shocked and what surgery are you having?

I am excited for you .. I know I was very excited to have RNY when I got it, and I am starting to get excited about my TT coming up.

Life should not be measured by the numbers of breathe we take but by                      the moments that take our breathe away....

Thanks for replying!!!!! I am shocked that it is moving so fast for me. I just finished up my required classes on monday and have my clearance already and was originally told that surgery wouold be in Feb. Now I am told it will most likely happen in Nov......That was the shocker to me.....Also, welcome to this forum!!!! It is a wealth of Info and you just have to remember it is all personal opinions......

That is fabulous news. I too received a quick surgery date - 4 weeks from when I met with him, but it wasn't until 2 1/2 weeks prior that I knew for sure it would happen. We had a vacation planned for a week during that time period as well.

Will be excited for you to hear when your date is.

thank you all so much!!!! I am very excited.....I have one little hold up with the upper Gi so I might get pushed back a few more weeks, but that is better than a few months.......

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.
