AMEN to Modified Soft Foods

I am so thankful, had my call from Robin on Monday and was moved to modofied soft foods today. The 3/4 of an egg tasted so good this morning and tuna for lunch. I was so tired of the pureed baby food. Everything is going well. I have had no complications and healing is moving right along. Was able to start my workouts again and managed to get on my elliptical yesterday and today. Taking a break tomorrow and looking for Holloween Costumes with the kiddos.

Congrats on small blessings!  It's amazing how good something can taste when we haven't had it for a while.  I remember the same thing when I started on salad again for the first time.  Keep up the awesome job!  See you in Nov.

Happy Halloween costume "haunting"!

Hugs,
Barb

You are coming along nicely. You may want to try this, ground turkey meat, ricotta cheese, spaghetti sauce, and Italian cheese. It is really good. You can even add zucchini to it when you can eat that. Have fun costume shopping with the kids.

bebaugh, this is one of my staples here at home, even after I was moved to regular food.  I make all sorts of flavors, italian like you said, or mexican (adding some rotel or green salsa), a faux shepherd's pie (with a pack of mushroom gravy and a little water to season the meat).

I mix ricotta with a little cream cheese and an egg to make a topping, so meat on bottom (spiced), topped with ricotta and bake for about 35 minutes at 340...it holds up...the italian one passes for lasagna!

yum!

That sounds yummy. I will have to try it. I am not a great cook so I appreicate any advice I can get! We have very good friends that live in Los Osos. (Is that how you spell it). I just love the area you live.
