Just a short message, it is hard to sit at the computer, chair is not the right "whatever" it needs to be for me to sit and have it not bother me.
I have been having no trouble with cottage cheese, applesauce, sf jello, cream of chicken soup... strained of course.

I had someone here walking the dogs, in and out for that. A lady named Charita stayed all night, she has degenerative bone disease... so I think I am a bit better off than her today....lol she is going home today.

I found a way to get in and out of bed so it does not pull on the left side... boy Dr Hahn said pain would be noticable from my left incision... sure was right on that.
Question... were you all lumpy from swelling ?

I retained 9# from the IV's but it will come off.

I was given insulin both days in the hospital... guess I had a problem, and I am not diabetic
My blood pressure crashed a bit... so I was also given potassium through the IV, with lidocane... it burned with out it.

Well time to lay down.. and take that crappy liquid codine... I hate the flavor... ick.

Thank you all for your support...

Oh.. keep loverofcats in your prayers... she was back in for some things...when she is able she will let you all know...

Hugs tro all
Can someone post this in Light weight board for me please...

Welcome home. That is weird that you received insluin. Did you ask them what was going on? Ask your surgeon when you see him/her to explain whatever you don't understand. Now remember you just had major surgery so you will want to take it easy. Keep us posted as you feel up to it.

Hey Kristen -

I am so happy you are doing better.  They had to give me insulin also while I was in the hospital and I'm not diabetic either.

Get plenty of rest, I think that's all I did the first week was sleep.  Let me know if you need anything!

Thank you for the update on Loverofcats, I was wondering why I haven't seen her on the board.  I will look for her post.
