Wacky Weigh In Wednesday

Good Morning Calif..........

Today is the day we step and be accountable to ourselves. I am sure you know the rule by now. There is NO judgment here, we get enough, or had enough of that already in our life's. So give us numbers or just how you are feeling.....

As for me, I am not sure, I don't remember what I was last week. What a dork I am.

Yesterday, DD's neck started hurting. Or the veins in her neck, we know that she had a dysecetion in her neck, one that her doctor was very worried about. Told DD that if there is any change, in feeling, no matter if it don't hurt or whatever. ANY CHANGE! She was to head to the ER STAT!! So I was at work, so DD called one of our other sister, and the came and took  her to the ER. This was about 10 yesterday. They took her in right way, and started running all kinds of test.  I went up after work last night, and at that point they where waiting for a room for her up on the CC unit . The veins in her neck we so big, you could see the "bubble" puffing her neck out. If she is still you can see her pulse. I am thinking there maybe a surgery in her furture very soon. Dang it!!!!

OK so enough about me. How was your day yesterday?

Barb............what kind of stuff are you painting for your yard? Like head stones? or little ghost or what? And you are going to share pictures later right? What is CERT? and is it though work or just your county?

Mommy........Make sure to tell mom and dad Hi from us. I so do hope your in laws do as they promised, and if they don't, that is on them. I know that would mean you have more to do. But at least you know YOU done your best for the In Laws. Hey my cuz use to pitch for the Gaints. Long ago, I know he is coaching now, just not sure with what team. What a great cuz I am.

Step...........I will send you my days tomorrow, when I have a chance. I know that thing change started about mid November. So I need to bring my schedule home. Which I do have, just haven't brought it home yet. I am loving the weather right now, and yap sleeping is great. How are you feeling Step, is the cool weather helping?

Susan............Hey my friend Cyndi tried the lowes paint, and they had to paint like 3 times to cover even. You are right, it sucks! Susan, I just noticed that you had your surgery on the 23 of June. That is my birthday how cool is that? LOL  I was thinking how great it would be to have a boring day with the rain. I love laying around and just hear the rain. Want to trade places? LOL Sorry about the flu shot, but you can go to Walgreens or CVS and get one.....NOT!!!. How teaches them to give the shot? Do they read in the some book or something?

Elizabeth........I am happy your DH is feeling better with the help of some pain killers. I know when your back is jacked up. You just can never get any rest. I am also very happy to hear that someone is doing something about your moms case. How cute it is to hear about your grand babies. They both sound like little angels. Enjoying them must bring great happiness.

OK time to get my life moving. Remember to keep DD in your good thoughts. I am sure we will hears what the plans are for today.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu, I am keeping DD in my prayers and thinking good thoughts that things will work out fine.  She (and you) have been through so much already.  I hope you have a good day today.  Thanks for a wonderful shout out too, always starts my day with a smile!

We do yard art (see pics on my FB) and we are adding two new pieces this year.... a guitar and sax playing skeleton!  My husband plays guitar and I play sax, and when I saw them I just had to add them to the collection.  We will be adding two new pieces to our Christmas yard art this year too, a firehouse and a school house.  Those are all done to look like gingerbread.  They are SO much fun to do.  I will post pics though when I'm done.

CERT is a program that is Federally funded and is run by your County and stands for Certified Emergency Responder Training.  It is basically a free 6 week program (in our County anyway) you learn to come together to assist the community in a disaster.  Last night we learned how to triage and tag wounded as well as basic first aid.  Last week we learned how to use a fire extinguisher and turn off home gas mains (some of which I knew before) but always helps to have a refresher.  We sure hope we'll never need to use it but if there was a disaster we could band with other emergency responders (professional and CERT) and assist our community if there wasn't enough help to help others (like Hurricane Katrina or a major earthquake).  We are not there to take the place of the professionals but rather to be organized and ready to respond if needed.  Ron and I are taking it together and we're in a class of about 50 people all ages and walks of life.  Very interesting.

Tonight we run to SF to pick up my Step Mom as she will go to Apple Hill with us.  Always fun having her over for the weekend.  We LOVE to shop and do stuff together and she and my Mother-in-Law really enjoy being together too.  So looking forward to that.

Oh heck Lu, I'm sorry to hear about DD.  Enough already.  Please keep me posted on what is going on.  She has been though so much, this has to stop.  At least she didn't wait to go to the ER.

As for me, the weather isn't helping one bit.  As a matter of fact I think it is making me a bit more sore. Every time I move it hurts to get up.  Once I'm moving I'm ok but I've noticed alot of instability in my knee and the pain is on my left side now, not just my right.  Oh well, nothing I can do about it except have surgery and I'm not ready for that yet.

Speaking of walking, I'm going to attempt the CHOC walk again this year.  I really hope I can get through it.  I know it's only a 5K and as it is through Disney, I know there are spots I can sit down if I have to.  But I'm really going to push through and hope I can make it.

That's it for me.  Time to get on the road and get to work.  Another fun filled day awaits me. LOL Positive attitude is half the battle I always say.  To be honest, I'd so much rather go back to bed.  It's cold and wet out and my blankie is just screaming..."come back....come back.....come back".  Oh well, I'll be back tonight.

Good Morning Lusty Lu, Barb, Steph, and Cali Friends,
It is a good morning indeed. I slept very good last night. Today is a day of honey-do's and resting for tomorrow, I will be with the grand kids again. Lu, they do bring me so much happiness. The other day I picked Ryan up from pre-school and they had learned about the letter E. He showed me his paper and told me E is for elephant. I told him that it was also the first letter in my name. I told him my name is Elizabeth. He then replied, "Your name is Grandma." Devan is saying new words everyday. It is so much fun to watch them learn.

Lu, I am so sorry for DD. She has really been through the wringer. I hope they can get everything under control. You have been through a lot lately too. It is time for you two to have some good things happen in your life.

Barb, you are so terrific and caring. I never would have thought about getting that kind of training.

Steph, I can't donate right now, but I hope you have fun in the walk. Remember to pace yourself.

I will be saying a prayer for DD.  Seems like she has been through enough lately!!

Well I am back at work hard today.  Looks like I may have to drop this new case and start another (so my hopes of being home all of October may be lost).  Oh well at least I am working. 

I got a lot done yesterday and cleaned out Ms V's room.  What surprised i found under her bed (marbles, feather boa, slippers and some plastic fruit from her kitchen).  Got the trundle all made up and ready for her favorite auntie!!  Pulled 4 huge boxes of clothes between her and i for donations.  We had to clean out the garage and I forgot I had lots of formal wear I will never fit into again!!  My sister will inherit some and the rest if off for donations.  Oh well hope someone else can use it. 

Well better get back to work, break time is over.

Cleaning out Ms V's room reminds me of a story of when my Mother cleaned out my little sister's room once and my Mother got a surprise too. (Yes that sister) She was in junior high so she was old enought to know better. When my Mother got to the bottom of the junk in her closet there was a dead field mouse. Yuck!Yuck! She is still a slob too! Boy was my Mother mad!

Hi Everyone

UGGG wednesdays suck! LOL I got on the scale today and decided that I hate mother nature this is the first real "monthly visit" since surgery ( i was on depo) and it seems I gained 3 pounds, WTH??? GRRR im annoyed at that but I guess thats normal? Hopefully ive been super careful lately and really pushing myself since im so dang close to 100 pounds lost , just a few more!!

Lu, the pharmacist has to take a class and recertify every year, i asked when at costco yesterday, LOL and yea tell me about the paint, I now have to REPAINT the entire bathroom, my dog decided to shake after his bath and the paint came off the walls.........Lowes is not happy with what I had to say to them.
