kaiser patients, what qualifies as "Clear" for day before surgery

Ok, so I know I am asking the most stupid question but why not, someone else I am sure will do so maybe this might help.

So surgery is  8am Wednesday. The whole day (tuesday) says, clear, so is that jus****er, broth, and juice, which I don't do, even diluted, too sweet. Can I have popsicles SF?  Can't believe it is so soon, but all of a sudden, I have lost my own sensibility in the answer.  May I have very weak tea?
Then I do the bottle of the stuff, that I did a few weeks ago for a flex sig test, so I get that.

I would love the feedback

 You can have:
  • Water, Italian ice, seltzer
  • Apple juice, grape juice and cranberry juice
  • Clear broths, clear chicken soups
  • Black coffee, tea
  • Gingerale, 7up, Sierra Mist,  Jello (Jello is kind of nice warm before it sets if you're hungry. It along with the broth tends to fill you up.)
  • Popsicles are fine so long as they are clear, and don't have any dairy, or fruit pieces in them.
No dairy or milk products, no prune, pulp, or citrus juices, no alcohol.  HTH.

You can drain chicken soup or beef soups and only drink the broth and it taste better than just broth. I have heard that Trader Joe's has a really good broth that is flavorful. Also put that stuff you have to drink in the fridge and let it get really cold. It doesn't taste quite as bad. It still taste bad but it helps. Boy, Wednesday is almost here. Remember you are going to be feeling all sorts of emotions and that is normal. I used to spend a lot of time looking at the before and after gallery. I did that even after surgery to keep motivated. You know I am sending you good thoughts and prayers. Don't worry we are looking forward to you joining us on the loser's bench! there is always plenty of room for one more! Keep us posted.

The day before surgery I had lots of SF. Peach Jello,  Strained Chicken soup broth (tastes much better than chicken broth), water, deluded juice, & I also had a small amount of butternut squash soup (Dr. Chu said it was ok to have a 4oz in the morning).  I also had coffee in the am with some sweetener in it.  For me having chicken broth in the am made me sick.  The butternut squash soup made it easier.

It's not as bad as you think & once you start your bowel prep you won't really care to eat.  Well I didn't, cause that stuff burned my tummy.

Good luck :)

I heard its anything (non carbonated) that you can look through when held up to the light.

Congrats on your surgery - so very exciting.  I cant wait to hear how it went.
