Good Morning Calif.......

Yap Its still morning, and I slept in this morning.. Yeah for me. Today is my nephews birthday, so DD is cooking dinner....OK she tells me what to do and I cook. But any way both her boys are coming and one girl friend and an her ex-mother in law. Her x-MIL is the sweets lady one could ever meet. Even she is an x she still care very much for DD and even spent HOURS at the hospital. And think its great that she is coming over tonight for dinner. Her new Doughter in law is a bit wierd and dont let the new set of grand kids to come and spend time with her. She takes them to HER family all the time. That is just not right.

Mommy..........so did it work, taking the bull by the horn? I sure hope so. That is just not right. How long is hubby gone? Iam sure you Ms V will enjoy your time. Take some pic, even if you are just sitting around at home.

Barb...........OMG that cake is wonderful. You are right, we can't tell by that picture that it has any problems. You done a great job. You right so right, the fact that its was made with love, made it all the better.  How was your monday? I hope the work week is not that bad.

Step...............OMG a trian trip would be great. I know that there is train to the grand canyon. I will ckeck it out and see what else is out there. It might be fun to take the train on a round trip somewhere and see all kinds of new places. I think you should be here on Sunday the 17th, cooking me a recover meal, since that is the long beach 1/2. :-D sorry the teaching thing didn't work, that was there lose. You is the bomb.

Eileen............there is nothing like a slug day. I wish I could have one, once in a while, but I always have plans to do something. How did the heat treat you yesterday?

Elizabeth.........thanks for the hint about the buss part of some of the train rides. If we do that next year, we will have to watch that close. What do you have planned for today?

Nancy,,,,,,, great to see ya around again. Sorry about your DH's fight with ins. I hope he wins and that your get to take your vacation soon. It sucks when know somehting is coming up, and you are happy about it, then WHAM! something changes. Yap you all well have a great trip to apple hill if the weather plays nice.

Hi Lu,

I hope you are enjoying your day off. Happy Birthday to your nephew, hope dinner turns out wonderful. I'm enjoying my last slug day before going back to work. I work the next 3 days. What fun. I did get to see my "boy" this morning. We went and had a nice breakfast. Got to hang out for awhile. Wi**** had been longer, oh well, I will take what I can get. Now I'm just vegging on the couch. It is so freaking hot out. I have had the air on for 2 days now. At least it is supposed to cool down over the next few days. Of course just in time for me to go back to work. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week.

Well it's definitely not morning, but I'm home from work and that is reason enough to celebrate and say HI!  I love getting home after a long day at work.  Nothing better.

So, is it hot enough for everyone?  OMG, I can't believe this heat.  My asthma is driving me crazy with the constant change in temps from inside to outside.  It's such a huge difference, that as soon as I walk out the door, it's like a vise gets a grip on my lungs and squeezes.  I will be very very happy once this is all over and the weather stays a bit more consistant.  I'm looking outside right now and it actually looks like it might rain.  This is just crazy weather.

So, yea, Lu we must do our investigation on a train trip.  I did check out the Grand Canyon trip because Mike and I wanted to do it.  It's pretty expensive.  But let's check some stuff out and see what we can come up with.

As for the 17th, I would absolutely come cook you dinner that night, but right now I'm committed to going to my sister's house that day.  But she is known for canceling things and if she does, you know I will be there.  And if not that night, then another for sure.  You just tell me what you think you'd like and I'll put it together.

OK, almost time to watch the debate.  I'm looking forward to seeing that and seeing what both of the candidates have to say.  Hope everyone had a great day and a nice drive home after work.  And if you got to stay home today, well good for you.  Catch you all tomorrow.

Afternoon all, it has been on heck of a day.  I started by taking DH to the airport at 5:30, then breakfast with Ms V at Denny's before school.  Then home to complete my last report for the fiscal year!!! I think I did not even notice the heat because I was on go all day long.  Now finally getting a chance to sit for a minute.  Then figure out some dinner for me and Ms V. 

Hope you all kept cool and drank lots of water!!

Lu, I hope you have a great dinner and that your nephew has a wonderful birthday.

Today I spent the day with my grand kids. They were really good. When my DIL got home Ryan started acting up. Isn't that just the way it is with kids!

Well that was my day. I am home tomorrow and need to to do some housework. DH is home too so I won't be doing any shopping. Darn it! LOL

I hope everyone had a great day. Maybe this will be our last hot spell for the year.
