It's so easy 2 miss everything up
Patrick,
You are right at about a year out if 10/5/09 was your surgery date. I am just over a year and let me tell you, the hunger has finally come back with a vengence.
I to have screwed up as most of us do. Don't be hard on yourself, just start new tomorrow. I also don't exercise and know I need to. I am playing with 2-4 lbs. up and down but as long as I don't go over the 4 I am ok with that.
Sit back and think of the reason you had your surgery. Maybe writing it down on paper will help, making a memo stuck to your fridge, bathroom mirror or a little sign on your desk to help you get through the day.
Hope this helps just a bit. Look for a post to come this week someting for the Long Beach or So Cal Coffee to be held on Saturday the 25th in Long Beach. You are welcome to come and join us. It is just a casual get together, some people bring clothes for clothing exchange, others may go to lunch afterwards, but most of all, we all support each other. Some are new to WLS, others are preparing or thinking about it and some are 3+ years out. If you are married, you are welcome to bring your wife, heck we even have fur babies that join us.
Good Luck

Hey Patrick...come have coffee with us on the 2nd in Redlands. See Mike's post a few down from here or watch for him to post again in the next few days. You'll meet people just like you who are struggling and trying to make this all work. Plus we are planning a day up in apple country of Oak Glen in the next few weeks also. Really try to make it.

Okay, lets be fair here... "People just like you..." Um, lets not insult the boy from the get-go shall well? I mean for all we know he has all his appendagies and have only two eyes and both of them in the front part of his head...
Lets hope he shows up to coffee and maybe from there we can convince him we are sooo not like him... he still has a chance.... jk
Saturday, October 2, on Lugonia and Alabama near to Jamba Juice and Verizon... see you there.

Oh but I wish I was just a year out... now going on six... and it is not always difficult... but it is never as easy as the first year...
Here comes the fun part though. You learned some stuff, and you know some stuff about you, and about food... and now you get to use those to get to where you really want to be... Now you can work it... we all want and need a little support every now and then... that is a big deal... so stop by and visit with a local group having coffee (or something else) and talk to those who have come before and see if you can pick some good stuff up and discard that which does not work for you.
See you at coffee? Or how about at Apple Picking?
